Editor’s Note: It is no surprise that Christian rap-rockers Alarm For War(out of Minneapolis, Minnesota) are making a noise in the Midwest music scene and beyond. Alarm For War had a successful 2017 year where they began making a name for themselves by providing support for Powerman 5000 on a tour, getting hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube with their song “Day Turned To Night”, and success of their EP “Enemies Of The State”. Samuel “Buggy” Judah is a teenager that is unapologetic about his beliefs and his message. Buggy sits down with Madness To Creation.
Madness To Creation: Tell me how Alarm For War got started.
Buggy: It all started after making a trip to the studio that a seasoned singer noticed that I was singing on key with what he was doing. After being asked at the age of 12, can you do these songs, it all kind of came together after that.
Madness To Creation: Your music has a rap-rock vibe to it, who do you cite as your major influences?
Buggy: I didn’t try to sound like anybody but, the only thing I really listened to was P.O.D.
Madness To Creation: What can fans expect from an Alarm For War concert?
Buggy: Fans can expect to have a lot of fun at a show, what they hear on the CD is what to expect live!
Madness To Creation: Tell us about the “Day Turned To Night” music video and the message behind the song.
Buggy: “Day Turned To Night” is a song about a kid named Zach who went through a drug rehabilitation program for a drug use. Zach was continuously being warned about his drug use, because if he did not stop, it just may claim his life. Zach refused to listen to the warnings, and soon enough, Zach was found dead in a bathroom after huffing chemicals.
God was warning Zach through people to quit it. Standing around his dead body, someone shouted out, “Where’s your God at now?” a young man replied, “The same place He was when he was warning Zach.” Don’t blame God for the choices that you make.

Madness To Creation: Favorite aspect about making a music video?
Buggy: That was a very fun process. After doing the first song, I couldn’t wait to do the next one. It is just cool how you have all of these cameras everywhere filming from cool angles.
Madness To Creation: Do you guys consider yourselves a Christian band? What does it mean to you?
Buggy: When people nowadays think of a Christian band, it is usually a big turn off for them. By the way, it is not Christianity it is a lack of Christianity that they are turned off by. We are a REAL-DEAL practice what Christ preached Christian band!
Madness To Creation: You guys played some shows with Powerman 5000, what was the craziest memory from that tour?
Buggy: Spider’s hair. Yet a sweetheart of a guy.
Madness To Creation: Fun question, Donald Trump is in the moshpit, how do you react?
Buggy: He has good taste! Cool. That is my reaction.
