Madness To Creation:  Tell me who you are and what you do in the band.

Mark:  I play drums in the band and also help write and produce the music.

Madness To Creation:  How did The Outfit get started?

Mark:  My brother Matt and I have played together in a few other projects over the years and we thought the time was right to create a band that played straight ahead rock music.

Madness To Creation:  Tell us about the Chicago music scene.

Mark:  These days there is not so much of an original rock scene anymore. Unfortunately cover bands are in vogue at the moment.  Chicago has a great history of bands coming from here. One of my favorites from back in the day is Cheap Trick from Rockford,Illinois.

Madness To Creation:  What can fans expect from the self-titled debut album?

Mark:  We tried to make a straight up rock record. Aggressive sound, cool vocals and great songs.

Madness To Creation:  What are the plans to promote the album?

Mark:  We are currently doing the usual. The single “Soldier Boy” just was serviced to rock radio and is being picked up by several stations. We also have the lyric video for the song up on YouTube, and its been going a lot of attention.  Recently two NFL teams have also used the song in stadium play.  So, exciting things going on. We’re looking forward to doing shows soon.

Madness To Creation:  You all worked with Ulrich Wild, what takeaways do you have from there?

Mark:  I’ve known Ulrich for a few years now and he’s was our first choice to mix the album. He really was able to capture the energy of our music. It’s such an honor to have worked with him on this record.

Madness To Creation:  New Year’s Resolutions for the band.

Mark:  Just to hopefully help bring good rock and roll back to the people.

Madness To Creation:  Anything else you would like to add, like where people can find you?

Mark:  Sure, you can reach us on the web at http://theoutfit.rocks  Also our album is available at iTunes: https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/the-outfit/1288361585

On February 2nd, the album will officially be out via Pavement Entertainment!  Check out their official website for merchandise and news related information!  Special thanks to Barbara and Mark for taking the time out for Madness To Creation!
