Out of Birmingham, Alabama is an Americana folk singer/songwriter that has made a career not only with his previous band eastmountainsouth, but has received numerous movie, television and commercial placements with his introspective songwriting, spiritual and romantic lyrics, and via the calm and soothing arrangements in the music.  This is Peter Bradley Adams.

In 2003, Peter Bradley Adams and eastmountainsouth, fresh off of a record deal with DreamWorks Records, appeared on the Late Night Show with Conan O’Brien.  While in eastmountainsouth, they performed their #1 AAA single “You Dance”.  While in eastmountainsouth, they toured extensively with Nelly Furtado, Tracy Chapman, Joan Baez, and Lucinda Williams.  eastmountainsouth’s last show was at the Hollywood Bowl in 2004 providing support for Shelby Lynne and Lyle Lovett.

During his solo career, Peter Bradley Adams had several accomplishments including:

  1.  Appearing on the “Elizabethtown” soundtrack.
  2.  Television placements for the TV shows Alias, The Mentalist, One Tree Hill, and Smallville.
  3.  In 2006, won the Notable New Artist Award by Sirius XM’s “The Loft”
  4.  Rave reviews in the Wall Street Journal and Boston Globe newspapers.
  5.  Released several albums including “A Face Like Mine” in 2017.

Madness To Creation’s take:  Peter Bradley Adams’ music grows on you the more you listen to it.  With a smooth voice and spiritual/romantic lyrics with introspective arrangements, it is easy to see why he fits in like a glove with the NPR crowd and with the coffeeshop crowd.  His music is easy to contemplate to and it allows for the listener to provide moments of reflection.  I can see where he could fit into a country music crowd because in a few songs, there’s elements of violin and steel guitar arrangements in the music.  It’s great music to listen to if you need to think or go on a roadtrip.  Usually, I look for more of a rough edge in Americana folk music, but this is quality music.  I rate Peter Bradley Adams a 7 out of 10 for the contemplative quiet nature in the music.
