Out of Las Vegas, Nevada is a rock band that was formed in 2006, seen several lineup changes and have since gone the indie route in order to make some well thought out, rock and roll that appeals to fans of multiple rock genres.  That band is Adelitas Way.  They have seen some mainstream success, yet have flown under that radar for quite some time, however, they have established themselves as a band that has found their identity while championing the veterans of the United States military and making good hard rock for the working man.

Currently, Adelitas Way consists of Rick DeJesus on vocals, Tre Stafford on drums, and Andrew Cushing on bass/background vocals.  Ryan Guanzon serves as the touring guitarist for Adelitas Way.  They have established some pretty significant career highlights with a no. 1 Billboard Active Rock radio single in the song “Sick”, having the theme for WWE Superstars with “Invincible”, and “Ready For War(Pray For Peace)” was also the theme song for the WWE PPV “Tables, Ladders, & Chairs”.  The song “Criticize” was also number one on the Active Rock radio charts.

Throughout their career, Adelitas Way has done what few bands in the mainstream/active rock scene have done, and that is consistently write good songs with quality arrangements.  The arrangements are the strength of the band, as they write guitar riffs and provide a good sounding rhythm section that serve the song.  Serving the song reminds us music fans that it can be a lost art and Adelitas Way helps us rediscover that art through the song “Sick”.

Another strength of Adelitas Way is just how they can ignite the crowd with a combination of Rick’s vocals, catchy lyrics, and writing memorable rock songs.  Case in point, I had an opportunity to see them open for Hinder and Josh Todd & The Conflict in Iowa and after 12 years go by, people still sing along to every word that Rick DeJesus belts out in his lyrics.  Case in point is the song “Criticize”.

The band that has shared the stage with the likes Shinedown, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Creed, Godsmack, and Seether will continue to blaze trails into making active rock sound cool and relevant to a generation that seems to be jaded with everything.  Songs are on point, it’s just quality good rock music to listen to, and sometimes that’s all a person needs, and Madness To Creation knows that he can count on Adelitas Way to deliver with each album, especially “Home School Valedictorian”.  Madness To Creation rates Adelitas Way a 9 out of 10 stars.
