Editor’s Note: This was a fun conversation with rising Jacksonville, North Carolina band Bridge To Breakdown in regards to their latest video “Rain”. They have showcased a lot of potential with their eclectic mix of blues, grunge, and metal. Bridge To Breakdown is making waves as we speak. In the meantime, fans can check out Bridge To Breakdown at the following locations:

Madness To Creation: Tell us about the music scene in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
Bridge To Breakdown: It‘s definitely growing, we’re starting to see bands come through that wouldn’t have been possible 10 years ago.
Madness To Creation: Tell us about the video for “Rain”.
Bridge To Breakdown: There is a ton of amazing graphic art talent in North Carolina…and to be honest we didn’t even really nowhere to start. We were introduced to MPeckable Media by one of our managers and just really let him go to town. The end result was better than what we could have thought of ourselves.
Madness To Creation: If you could make it rain, how would you do that?
Bridge To Breakdown: We would all do a river dance while Taylor plays a tribal beat on his drum set. Think “Ratamahatta” by Sepultura but happier.
Madness To Creation: Do you like Roman Reigns? Why or why not?
Bridge To Breakdown: He has some great tattoos! But our loyalty stays with the Rock, have you seen Jumanji??
Madness To Creation: Who is the reigning MVP in your band?
Bridge To Breakdown: Everyone in the band is their own MVP. Talyn and Malcolm do the bulk of the writing, Taylor keeps everyone organized and handles merch, and our managers do all of the important behind the scenes work.
Madness To Creation: Rain rain go away come again another day, do you like rain or do you hate it when it rains?
Bridge To Breakdown: I love it when it’s a nice cold rain, I hate it when it brings the humidity! Either way, I’m still turning on my grill!
Madness To Creation: Three cover songs that you would do in a heartbeat and your fans would be like “what the hell?”
Bridge To Breakdown: “We Didn’t Start the Fire” -Billy Joel, “I Would Do Anything For Love (but I won’t do that)” – Meatloaf, “Eye to Eye” – Tevin Campbell from a Goofy Movie
Madness To Creation: What’s bumping on your stereo?
Bridge To Breakdown: Gojira and the soundtrack to the movie “El Dorado” by Elton John
Madness To Creation: What are the plans for Bridge To Breakdown for the rest of the year?
Bridge To Breakdown: Write as much music as possible and finally play out of our state! We‘re excited to show the world our vision.
