Editor’s Note: It was great for Young Medicine to share their “You Won’t Believe What’s On Our Spotify” list. Madness To Creation has decided to curate that playlist for Young Medicine fans to add to their Spotify playlist, which will include their cover of “Tearin’ Up My Heart” by N’Sync. Lance Bass of N’Sync also makes an appearance at the beginning of Young Medicine’s cover by giving his stamp of approval on the cover. Check out the video below.
“The original ‘Tearin’ Up My Heart’ has been stuck in my head ever since first hearing it at the skating rink when I was 9 years old,” says vocalist Josh Hurst. “With NSYNC finally receiving their (well deserved) Hollywood Walk of Fame star, we figured now would be a great time to pay homage to the pop greats, and to give it our own spin.”
Now, here is the list of Young Medicine’s “You Won’t Believe What’s On My Spotify” playlist!
Peter:
A-ha: “Take On Me”
One of my favorite songs of all time. No matter what playlist I have going when I’m getting ready in the morning, this is always on it. Impossible not to sing along.
Babymetal: “Karate”
Truly one of the best metal songs written in the past 5 years. Despite most people probably disagreeing with me. I saw Babymetal in concert recently and fangirled harder than ever before when the opening drum beat started.
Michael
Honey Benjamin: “Send Bobs”
It’s a joke song with a catchy beat, what more could you ask for?
Robyn: “Dancehall Queen”
This is one of those random songs on my playlist that I never seem to skip. Not my typical genre of choice, but has always been a song I’ve enjoyed over the years.
Josh
Youngstown: “I’ll Be Your Everything
The catchiest boyband tune you never heard(unless you remember it playing from the credit roll on the 1999 live action “Inspector Gadget” movie). This song is stuck in my head half my waking life, and I have no regrets.
Demi Lovato: “Cool For The Summer”
Came for the gorgeous video. Stayed for the vocal slide during the chorus hook…damn, goosebumps every time.
Big Shaq: “Man’s Not Hot”
I don’t care if it’s a parody song. It’s a fucking banger. Legitimately listened to ONLY this song on repeat at the gym for a few months.
Bret
Tears For Fears: “Head Over Heels”
The perfect magical 80’s track, does an amazing job of capturing the nostalgia for a time and era I never got to experience firsthand.
Seal: “Kiss From A Rose”
Greatest song of the 90’s for its incredible use of musical dynamics in a pop tune. If you wanna get technical, the 3/4 time signature is part of the secret to its emotional effectiveness.
Alice Glass: “Without Love”
Such a cool example of modern pop production!
