ARLENE ZELINA Converses with Madness To Creation on EllenTube, “Dream Of Me”, and Empowering Women!
Editor’s Note: It was great chatting with viral YouTube sensation Arlene Zelina about her music career. Out of Australia, she utilizes her unique style and scintillating vocals to bring about her own twist on incredible covers(seriously, her cover of “Moves Like Jagger” by Maroon 5 has over 14 million hits on YouTube), and she has a swagger when it comes to her own music. She has recently released the single for “Dream Of Me”, which talks about empowering women as a being. Also, she has released her own take on the Christmas classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. Prepare for 2019 to be an amazing year for Arlene Zelina. Check her out at the following locations:
Madness To Creation: You were noticed on EllenTube based on your killer covers! What was your reaction when you were featured by her?
Arlene: I was shocked! Ellen is honestly was of my all time favorites. So when her site featured me, I couldn’t believe it. I refreshed the page 100 times.
MTC: Did Maroon 5 react to your cover? What did they say? If they didn’t, what is one thing you would say to Adam Levine and the band?
Arlene: I don’t know if they did! But I’d like to hope they did haha. Let’s all pretend they watched it and loved it 🙂
Maroon 5 have been pretty timeless with every song they release. They write and develop such strong memorable pop songs – something I hope to achieve too!
MTC: How did the Eurovision contest go as the Australian correspondent?
Arlene: This was truly one of the most magical experiences I have had. It was my first time in Austria, and let me tell you, it’s one of the most picturesque places I have been to. The actual contest was huge and there was just so much creative energy flying around. I was excited to be there on the year that they had an Australian contestant. I went to some incredible events and met the most amazing people.
MTC: Tell us about the music scene in Australia.
Arlene: It’s a lot of fun! I grew up going to small shows at bar style venues listening to indie bands. But pop music was always my favorite. Since Australia is it’s own island (and we are so far away from everything) it was such a big deal when the mega stars would come out to perform. That’s why every pop concert I have gone to has been so memorable.
MTC: One artist besides yourself we should check out that is from Australia?
Arlene: My BFF – Cobi Marsh!
MTC: Favorite thing you want to tell us about Australian culture.
Arlene: The people! We don’t take ourselves too seriously and we are always down to have fun. I also love the cultural diversity!
MTC: Take us into the “Dream of Me” single, what is the song talking about, it feels very empowered.
Arlene: This one is for the ladies! I wanted to create a song that empowered women to be confident to explore their imagination and sexuality on their own terms. To go out, have fun and be unapologetically themselves in every way.
MTC: What’s next for Arlene Zelina?
Arlene: I’m currently working on more original music to release along with a few new collaborations. I’ll also be performing more!
MTC: New Year’s Resolutions?
Arlene: So many, as always haha. One thing is that I’m very critical of my own work and in turn haven’t released as much music as I would have hoped. So my goal for the New Year is to be more confident in my abilities and to finally release more music!

The vision that I have for this site was that I was getting weary of sites that evolve from the original message to what I refer to as "tabloid magazine stand at the grocery store checkouts" kind of sites. My heart is with the underground bands and for the bands/artists that strive to hit that dream, and they spend thousands of dollars on equipment just to play a $100 show! Please contact me and I will review you. I promise to bring you quality news, interviews, and reviews. I have a master's degree and the madness that you're creating in your art is what I'm passionate about! Feel free to contact me, I respond to all emails and to all comments on here! I am an open book! If you see a suggestion on how to improve the site, please make me aware of it! This is YOUR site. I am also in search of writers! Please hit me up with a writing sample and why you're interested. I have NO minimum content requirements, I understand that you have families to feed and a roof over your head(as do I). I want to thank you for checking it out! Please stick around regularly by liking my social media accounts and bookmark this page!
