Emo Nite LA recently presented “The Want House Party Tour: featuring 3OH3! with special guest Lil’ Aaron” live at Wooly’s in Des Moines, Iowa. It was a sold out night of live music and live dee-jaying that was full of fun and nostalgia.
In terms of the presentation, the DJ’s did an impeccable job of warming up the crowd by spinning the hits that defined the 2000’s. The crowd jammed out to songs such as “Airplanes” by B.O.B., “Yeah!” by Usher featuring Lil’ Jon and Ludacris, and “Low” by Flo-Rida featuring T-Pain. Morgan Freed, Babs Szabo, and T.J. Petracca, along with the sold out crowd at Wooly’s made it a fun party! The doorbell announcing the next house party guest made it for non-stop entertainment. It was a refreshing way to setup at a concert to keep people moving and entertained throughout the whole night.
Before I knew it, fans got on the stage to dance and to throw down with Lil’ Aaron. Lil’ Aaron showcased with his songs off of “Rock$tar Famous” and “Gloing Pain$” that he has the potential to take over the hip-hop game. The autotune in his voice incorporated with some rock elements made his music to be catchy. Lil’ Aaron capitalized on getting down with all of the fans on the stage as it provided for a really cool moment.
3OH3! completed the night of nostalgia by throwing down their entire “Want” album from front to back along with having an encore with “My First Kiss” and “Don’t Trust Me”. They definitely know how to keep the crowd bumping and their stage presence was really fun to experience. When they performed “Chokechain”, that was when the crowd got moving more than anything.
