Out of Santa Barbara, California is a band that combines reggae, punk, and pop, with a whole lot of laidback “Surf’s Up” vibe, and that band is Mad Caddies.  Mad Caddies recently released a single in time for the holiday season entitled “I’m Going Surfing for Xmas”.

Mad Caddies is composed of Chuck Robertson, Sascha Lazor, Todd Rosenberg, Graham Palmer, Mark Bush, and Ed Hernandez.  Signed to Fat Wreck Chords, this band has taken their organic vibe and has sold over 400,000 records in their impressive career.  They will also be ringing in the New Year by taking a brief tour of Western Canada.

“I’m Going Surfing for Xmas” is that Christmas song that takes the spirit of the holiday while grabbing some sunscreen and a surfboard, and takes you on a journey to “hang 10” during this holiday season.  In this song, Mad Caddies teaches you that Christmas doesn’t have to be about having snow and frigid temperatures, but that it can be celebrated around the world with loved ones and by hanging ten at your favorite beach.   To be perfectly honest, this is the first time that I have listened to Mad Caddies, and I will be certainly looking forward to diving further into their catalog.  I recommend adding this song to your holiday playlist, Madness To Creation rates this a 9 out of 10 stars!
