10. Halo ( entire franchise)- Can’t begin to tell you how many nights my friends and I stayed up playing this together just having a blast creating rooms and shooting each other with rockets lol!
9. Ninja Gaiden Xbox- This reignited the franchise from 8 bit obscurity and took it into the next gen on the Xbox. Followed up with 2 other games as well. Beats out Devil May Cry by a long shot.
8. Socom II U.S. Navy Seals for Playstation 2- This one paved the way for online shooters across the globe. There is no game that is as great as this was in its glory days and it lasted forever. Many sleepless nights were spent playing this game and I met some of my best friends playing this.
7. Mega Man(entire franchise)- This is my childhood favorite growing up. Nothing really comes close as side scrolling games like this. 30 years and still going strong!
6. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater: Same Metal Gear gameplay, different snake. Surrounding the story of big boss and his missions in the 60’s. My favorite part of this game is the sniper duel in the end.
5. Gears of War- This game has the best story and gameplay mechanics I’ve ever had the pleasure of playing. An instant classic the second I picked up the controller.
4. Metal Gear Solid 4- First game with Solid Snake on the PS3 at the time. The story is the best I’ve ever played and the overall feel is that of a movie.
3. Fatal Frame III- This is top three for no other reason that that damn stroller granny lol. My kids love seeing me freak out when her ghost comes out of nowhere.
2. Fatal Frame II: Continuation of the story around the same village, but with two twin girls as the protagonists. This is widely considered one of the best Fatal Frame games in the series.
- Fatal Frame- Based on a true story about a reporter looking for her brother in a old abandoned Japanese village. This game scares the crap out of you at almost every turn.
