It was an amazing homecoming of sorts as Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania’s Breaking Benjamin was set to headline in front of a raucous crowd at the Sands Events Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania during this post-holiday season.  What an incredible year for the band as they continue to score hit after hit on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts with songs such as “Red Cold River” and “Torn In Two”, which is off of their critically acclaimed album “Ember”.

Breaking Benjamin immediately hit hard with “Red Cold River” and frontman Benjamin Burnley looked better than ever.  He looked healthy and he has an uncanny way of engaging the crowd with the seemingly endless amount of rock hits that Breaking Benjamin has in their catalog.  After, “Red Cold River”, Breaking Benjamin got the crowd in a massive singalong with their smash hits “I Will Not Bow” and “Breath”.  Then, they further engaged the crowd with a medley of covers including “The Imperial March” from Star Wars, “Cowboys From Hell” by Pantera, “Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana, “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, and “Enter Sandman” by Metallica.

Since it was their hometown area crowd, Breaking Benjamin had a five song encore including songs from their debut album “Saturate”, which included “Polyamorous”, “Home”, “Water”, and “Natural Life” before closing out with their biggest hit “The Diary of Jane”.  It just felt like they brought a little something extra to the Bethlehem crowd and they showed why they are on the top of the mainstream rock mountain with their hit songs and their uncanny ability to engage the crowd.
