Editor’s Note:  Out of Galveston, Texas comes a three piece band that is set to make waves on the hard rock world.  To Whom It May just got off of a run with hard rock heavyweights 10 Years and Drowning Pool.  They definitely plan on making it their year with their heartfelt lyrics and their hard hitting riffs.  They have released the video for “Calculate”, which is off of their Billboard Heatseekers charting album “The Great Filter”.  Fans can find To Whom It May at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  How did the tour with Drowning Pool and 10 Years go?

Jonathan:  It was great! We’ve been out with the 10 Years guys before and it’s always great to catch up with them. Such a great band and even cooler dudes. It was our first time out with Drowning Pool  but we’ve all grown up listening to their music. That tour in particular was really cool because it was all Texas dates with all Texas bands!

Madness To Creation:  Give me your favorite song by Drowning Pool and favorite song by 10 Years.

Jonathan:  10 Years – Half Life Drowning Pool – Tear Away

Madness To Creation:  Take us into the writing process of “The Great Filter”, most challenging and rewarding aspect?

Jonathan:  It was a long process (about 3 years). Because it is our first album, we weren’t just writing a record, but also sort of defining what the band would sound like. It was my first stint as a singer so I also took some time finding my voice and learning what worked best for our sound.

Madness To Creation:  Take us into the music video for the single “Calculate”.

Jonathan:  “Calculate” was put together by a company called Lightstrike Productions. They really put a lot of effort into the process and I feel like it shows in the end result. Working with such a helpful and friendly crew made the time we spent on it flow smoothly and everyone had a really great time.

Madness To Creation:  What would math be like without a calculator?

Jonathan:  More internalized. Math is the language of the universe and would exist with or without humans. Tools are amazing, but they can remove the primal connection we have with the world. Be that calculators, telephones, Facebook, etc….

Madness To Creation:  Biggest plans for 2019?

Jonathan:  We’re gearing up to head out on the road with Candlebox this February then we will be out again with 10 Years in March. Beyond that we will be touring, releasing another music video, and we’re always working on new music.

Madness To Creation:  If Donald Trump was in a mosh pit at your show, how would you react?

Jonathan:  We try to stay removed from politics, because in today’s climate there is no shortage of opinions on either side. If anyone feels a connection to our music, they are welcome at the show.

Madness To Creation:  One fun fact about To Whom It May that no one knows.

Jonathan:  We live on an island off the coast of Texas. Yes Texas has an island!

Madness To Creation:  What else would you like to add?

Jonathan:  We hope we get to meet all of your readers at one of our upcoming tour dates. We love to meet new people and share what we’ve been working so hard on. See you at the show!

Madness To Creation:  Thank you very much for your time to interview with me for Madness To Creation.
