On July 31st, 2018, Connecticut’s own TWO HEADED GIRL released their EP entitled “With Sadness”.  This EP has some musical influences and it certainly grows on you with each listen.

Two Headed Girl is a three piece band composed of twin sisters Celeste Padua on bass/vocals, Angelica Padua on guitar/vocals, and Cam Pulaski rounds out the band by providing drums/synths.  They do a solid job of mixing emo with some 90’s grunge vibes to make for some great musicianship.

The thing about this EP is that it’s a purely honest record that tells some great stories.  The EP kicks off with the track entitled “Holy Ghost” and you hear some solid guitar work done by Angelica that incorporates some guitar tapping and it picks up during the chorus.  The harmonies might throw the listener off at first, but it grows on you because it’s unique overall.  Two Headed Girl takes on heavy topics such as being taken advantage of in the track “Target Practice”, feeling depressed in the track “Static”, and feeling absolutely lost and alone in “Miss Me”.

Two Headed Girl writes songs that are honest and they write them as an escape for what they might have gone through.  They do a pretty nice job with the storytelling in the music, along with the arrangements of the music to enhance the storytelling.  “With Sadness” is just a nice listen that blends multiple genres.  Madness To Creation gives this a 7 out of 10 stars.  Here is the track listing:

  1.  Holy Ghost
  2.  Miss Me
  3.  Target Practice
  4.  Favorite Song
  5.  Not What I Wanted
  6.  Static
