Editor’s Note:  It was a fabulous time conversing with Clea Cutthroat of HOT PINK SATAN!  Clea is not only an industrial artist in the duo, but she has been immersed in the world of burlesque, sideshow, and circus.  She has been known to seduce crowds with her all out sexuality, faux fur, red lights, and having high energy in her music.  Hot Pink Satan has recently released their album entitled “Spells”, and their music is bound to cast anyone who listens into spells.  Fans can find Hot Pink Satan at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  Favorite thing about being next to naked live? Ha!

Clea:  Well, it makes getting ready for a show pretty easy! My costume always fits, and skin and blood look great under lights!

Madness To Creation:  Take us into the music video for Breathe, what’s the song talking about and favorite thing about creating a music video?

Clea: That song is the crossroads. It’s pain and pleasure, the line between tease and torture, obsession versus. possession. The lyrics are so scarce, but I wrote that while in the midst of a dark relationship. Love is a motherfucker. Sex is complicated. Being honest about it all is the greatest challenge.

We both love making music videos. We talk about remembering coming home at a young age and being so excited to turn on MTV. I remember sneaking away from my parents to watch “Smack my Bitch Up” , “ Justify My Love”. These visuals have had a huge, everlasting impact on me, personally and artistically.

Fans can check out the music video to “Breathe” here.

Madness To Creation:  Use Hot Pink Satan in a movie title.

Clea:  Hot Pink Satan and the Temple of Doom.

Madness To Creation:  If Donald Trump saw your show, how would he react?

Clea:  Donald Trump standing in the room with a powerful, aggressive, naked female on stage that is covered in blood, choking herself on cords while screaming “I fucked my hand more than your dick” into the microphone…Please, he wouldn’t last 5 minutes (I think Stormy Daniels would agree with me there)!

Madness To Creation:  One reason why we need to see HPS in concert?

Clea:  Hot Pink Satan shows are a raw, visceral experience. I go to see shows because I want that feeling of transcendence. We play and perform our guts and hearts out, so that everything we are feeling is live and raw, and offered to the audience for consumption.

Madness To Creation:  Plans for Hot Pink Satan this summer!

Clea:  Shows! We have a tour coming up that we are super excited about! We’ll be announcing it very soon!

Madness To Creation:  Biggest influence ever in your music!

Clea:  I got her tattooed on my arm, first album I ever bought, and I have family members that blame her for how I turned out 😉 I would have to say Madonna.

Madness To Creation:  Most challenging and rewarding aspect about creating the “Spells” album!

Clea:  I think at first the most challenging part was the logistics…we didn’t live in the same city, or even the same country for that matter. We were meeting when ever, and wherever we could, all over the country. Eventually, I moved to Pittsburgh because Hot Pink Satan means that much to both Jeremy and I. I think that journey really inspired both of us. When you want something so bad, and have such a passion to create, your will defies all things. To me, the reward is “Spells”.  We did it.

Madness To Creation:  How would you put me under a spell?

Clea:  Well, what kind of spell? Lol  I could put you under with some salt circles and potions….but, I could also just tackle you from stage and you’ll most likely do what ever I tell you!

Madness To Creation:  What else would you like to add in regards to HPS?

Clea:  Come see a show!

And there you have it!  On Friday, May 24th, Hot Pink Satan has a show with Precious Child and aplacebothwonderfulandstrange at Pianos in New York, New York.  For tickets and further information on the gig, click here.
