Contributor’s Note: New interview available now with the punk/post-hardcore/new age rock band El Shirota out of Chiluca, Mexico. This was an interesting interview as we discuss the music scene which is not far from Mexico City. We go through the ‘goosebump’ moments in El Shirota’s tracks. The guys in El Shirota were influenced by many US bands including Cloud Nothings and Titus Andronicus. 
The band is also influenced by many UK bands including The Cure and The Stone Roses and the entire Manchester scene which is most notable in the track:
