Nashville’s soul-rockers KB & The Idyllwilde have released their single “Cold Stop” exclusively through Madness To Creation. This band combines soul, grits from mama’s kitchen, and that desert rock feel to make it feel somewhat euphoric, desperate, and highly emotive all in one package.
KB & The Idyllwilde plan on releasing their debut EP entitled “I Just Wanna Love You” this August. Here is what frontwoman Katie Burke had to say about it:
The lyrical content deals in the offbeat and the ugly, the extremes of love, sex, death, and pain, you know…the human.
Katie states that the band draws musical influence from Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin to today’s influences such as Brandi Carlile and Jack White.
Katie Burke as a solo act has performed on the second line of New Orleans, various house shows in her home state of Massachusetts, and even at subway stations in New York City in an effort to hone her craft. KB & The Idyllwilde has taken their act on various stages in Nashville where they are looking to catch that big break, and they certainly will before long.
Katie plans on releasing two EPs that will allow her fans to explore the duality in her music. She plans on releasing a folk album entitled “Pilot Light” this summer and with her full band KB & The Idyllwilde, their EP will be titled “I Just Wanna Love You”.
