We usually cover all different forms of rock music, so we decided to change it up by attending country music sensation Granger Smith at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, Pennyslvania.  It was a fun night of singalongs to some good ol’ country music and a night where Granger Smith made you feel like you were a part of that backyard tailgate party.

Granger Smith and his backing band were a delight to listen to.  Their songs such as “Holler(featuring Earl Dibbles Jr)”, “Merica”, and “Country Boy(Part 1)” certainly shows what life is like in Middle America and when time seemed so innocent, whether it be kicking up the tires as you’re going off roading, being proud of being an American, or just the lifestyle that country folk lives.

Granger Smith sang with passion and with a conviction in these songs.  Granger also did a fabulous job of getting the crowd involved and the ladies screaming.  I thought it was really cool that he autographed a cowboy boot while singing.  Granger would interact with the crowd by shaking hands and giving out high-fives which made the evening in Pennsylvania to see more meaningful and intimate.  It was a nice touch when they revealed “Yee Yee” in green duct tape.  It was just a really entertaining night of music and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Granger Smith up for that prestigious “Entertainer of the Year” award during the annual CMA’s.
