Bands such as Incubus, Pearl Jam, Deftones have credited Shudder To Think as being an influence on them.
We discuss the reason why James Robbins (J. Robbins from Jawbox fame is responsible for me becoming a Shudder To Think fan. We also discuss the connection with drummer Adam Wade.
Craig goes into how being part of an experimental theater group at New York University played an important part in the creation of the music of Shudder To Think’s Dischord Records albums. He shares his thoughts on the lyrics and on revisiting them after all of these years.
We also discuss about his work in TV and Movies. We also discuss how he found his found through a great vocal teacher at NYU in Lisa Sokolov.
During the discussion regarding two songs in 50,000 BC, Craig talks about the health issue that almost ended his music career and his life. Those that are battling a serious illness or have a loved one, will find inspiration into going for it all when you realize it could be all gone tomorrow.
