Editor’s Note:  Welcome to this special Kicking Off August edition of Weekend Brunch Edition Weekly News and Spotify Playlist via Madness To Creation!  Here the weekend is almost over, the sun has set the birds are chirping and you have to set your alarm to get ready for work in the morning.  As we have been crazy busy with our work weeks, we are celebrating the weekend!  We crack open some eggs, fry up some steak, and enjoy some brunch.  But wait, we missed out some music news and you might be wanting some new music to check out!  Well, Madness To Creation is your hookup, holler if you hear us!  #SorryScottSteiner It is broken down into the following categories:

  1.  Meat & Taters:  This is where the heavy hitters come in to play.  The main course if you will.  Chances are you’ve heard of this group.
  2.  Light & Fluffy:  This is where a band/artist might come off on the lighter side of music.  Where you might have a potato pancake with the glass of OJ.
  3.  Libations:  Because you can’t wait til lunch or supper so these bands/artists get you in the mood to tailgate and party over brunch.
  4.  On The Side:  These bands/artists are brand new and you might put a little on the saucer to give it a try before diving into the meat & taters!

Meat & Taters:

  1.  Reggae artist Zander has released his very spiritual single entitled “10,000 Reasons”.  Fans can check out the uplifting single here.
  2.  The Descendents 3 soundtrack is out now via Disney Records.  It features the song “Queen of Mean” by Sarah Jeffrey.  Check out the single here.
  3. Queen + Adam Lambert will be performing at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City on September 28th.  Queen is using their platform to help Global Citizen end extreme poverty by 2030.  Use the hashtag #GlobalCitizen to stay engaged.
  4. MORGXN has released the music video for “OMM”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  5. American Idol winner Maddie Poppe released her music video for “Made You Miss”.  She also performed the single on “Live with Kelly and Ryan”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  6. Rich Forever Music released their compilation album entitled “Rich Forever 4”, which features hip-hop artists Rich The Kid, Famous Dex, and Jay Critch.  Fans can check out the single for “Party Bus” here.
  7. Have Mercy released their highly anticipated album entitled “The Love Life” via Hopeless Records.  They will be kicking off their tour with The Early November and OWEL at Milkboy Arthouse in College Park, Maryland on September 13th.  Fans can check out the visual video for “Heartbeat” here.
  8. Zac Farro of Paramore announces new release for his Halfnoise project entitled “Natural Disguise”.  They have also released a single and music video for the song “Boogie Juice”.  Fans can check it out here.
  9. Hip-hop artist Hoodie Allen has released the single for “Hell of a Time” for upcoming release “Whatever, USA”.  He will be performing at festivals in London, Reading, and Leeds on August 22nd-24th before embarking on a tour with Jake Miller beginning on September 19th at Skully’s in Columbus, Ohio.  Fans can check out the single here.
  10. John 5 & The Creatures have released the “Invasion” album.  Fans can check out the video for “I Want It All” here.
  11. DEMONS featuring Mae guitarist Zach Gehring, have released their single for “Uglier Americans”.  Proceeds from purchases via Bandcamp will go to RAICES, which helps with legal aid for immigrants.
  12. Tee Grizzley taps world champion boxer Gervonta Davis for “Scriptures” visual video.  Fans can check out the video here.
  13. Newly reunited Meg & Dia released their music video for “American Spirit”.  Fans can check out the video here and “Happysad” is out now via Pure Noise Records.
  14. Primitive Race releases remix single for “Cranial Matter” for upcoming remix album.  The remix features Toshi Kasai of Dale Crover Band.  Fans can check out the remix here.
  15. Lacuna Coil released their music video for “Layers of Time”.  They will be kicking off their “Disease of the Anima” tour with All That Remains on September 15th at Webster Hall in New York City.  Fans can check out the video here.

  1.  Pop singer/songwriter Alicia Beale released her single for “Love Letters”.  The song is about removing the toxicity out of your life and taking care of your emotional and physical health.  Check out the single here.
  2.  Washington D.C.’s The Evening have released their music video/single for “Obsession”.  Check out the highly addictive video here.
  3. Nashville’s FFN released their EP entitled “Such Is Life” via InVogue Records.  Check out their music video for “Ugly” here.
  4. Canada’s Zack Bright has released his lyric video for “Kiss Me”.  Fans can check out the video here as it’s an interesting mix of country and pop/punk music.
  5. Surprises have released their video to address anxiety awareness entitled “I Can’t See You ‘Em”.  Fans can check out the video here.
  6. Vinnie Caruana will be releasing “Aging Frontman”on October 4th via Know Hope Records.  He will be embarking on a special intimate tour playing sets from I Am The Avalanche and The Movielife, along with his solo material beginning October 5th at Gold Sounds in Brooklyn.  Fans can check out the single to “Better” here. a
  7. New York reggae-pop band The Big Takeover released their music video for “Shy”.  Fans can check out the video here and they will be performing at Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on August 8th.
  8. California indie-rock band Midnight Divide premiered their music video for “Who Do You Think That You Are” via Substream Magazine.  Fans can check out the premiere here and they plan on releasing their EP entitled “Weapons Grade Amnesia” sometime in October.
  9. The Trusty Snakes have released their alt-country album entitled “New American Frontier”.  Fans can check out “Love and Dopamine” here.
  10. Derek Ted has signed with Pure Noise Records.  Derek has also released the video for “Sew Me Up” and will be releasing the album “Better Spirit”. Fans can check out the video here.
  11. London’s Alexina releases her break-up anthem video for “London”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  12. KYOSi released her EP entitled “Negative Space”.  The content of the EP showcases criticism of President Donald Trump and his administration’s policies.

  18. Jake Miller has released the visual video for “Ocean Away”.  Fans can check out the video here.  Jake Miller will be appearing at 92.1 Back To School Bash in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 17th before embarking on nationwide tour with Hoodie Allen.
  19. Lukas James has released his lyric video for “Easy”.  The 17 year old is a self-taught musician that has been endorsed by Shawn Mendes.  Fans can check out the video here.
  20. Lauren Davidson releases her single for “Live Laugh Love”.  Critics have compared her to Kelly Clarkson meets Miranda Lambert.  Fans can check out the single here.  She mixes pop with country music.

Libations:

  1.  New York metal band Damn Your Eyes released their latest album entitled “Kill The Outside” and premiered their music video for “Through It All” via Outburn Magazine.  Check out the video here.
  2.  Australian punk band Press Club released their music video for “Thinking About You” for upcoming release “Wasted Energy”.  Press Club will be touring Europe beginning August 22nd at The Parish in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.  Fans can check out the video here.
  3.  Virginia hardcore band Outsider released their EP entitled “When Love Dies”.  They will be performing tonight in Tampa, Florida with Hoods and Three Knee Deep.
  4.  Alternative Rockers Selfish Things will be releasing “Logos” via Pure Noise Records.  Their tour as openers for Don Broco, Trash Boat, and Sleep On It will kick off on September 12th at Brighton Music Hall in Boston.  Fans can check out the single for “Hole” here.
  5. British hardcore band Reclaimer have released their music visual video for “Let Go”.  Their EP entitled “Grief, Enslaved” is out now via Famined Records and fans can check out the visual video here.
  6. Portrayal of Guilt released their single for “Moral Decay”.  Their EP entitled “Suffering Is A Gift” is out August 30th, and they will be on tour starting tonight with Harm’s Way, Jesus Piece, and Fuming Mouth in Dallas, Texas, and fans can check out the single here.
  7. The Dollyrots released a Hurley live video session for “Animal”.  Fans can check out the video here and fans can see The Dollyrots live at Cafe Nine in New Haven, Connecticut tonight.
  8.  California ska-punk band Omnigone released their latest single entitled “Horizontal Aggression” for upcoming September 13th release entitled “No Faith”.  Fans can check out the premiere via New Noise Magazine here.
  9. Dylan Disaster releases music video for “Milestone” for August 31st release “Remission”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  10. SeeYouSpaceCowboy have released their single entitled “Armed With Their Teeth”.  Fans can check out the single here, which is off of their upcoming release entitled “The Correlation Between Entrance and Exit Wounds”, and will be performing on August 7th at Amityville Music Hall in Amityville, New York.

  15. Punk rocker and women’s activist Shiragirl released her EP entitled “Andi Underground”.  On August 6th, Shiragirl has a gig at 710 Beach Club in San Diego, California.
  16. HAWK formerly known as This Or The Apocalypse released their music video for “Counter Ops”.  They will be playing with Crown The Empire, Attila, and Veil of Maya on Tuesday, August 6th at Westcott Theater in Syracuse, New York.  Fans can check out the music video for “Counter Ops” here.
  17. Crossing Rubicon will be releasing “Seeing Red” via Imminence Records this Friday.  Fans can check out the music video here.  The music video is in conjunction with the documentary featuring ECW/WWE wrestler Justin Credible.
  18. Absence of Despair have premiered their music video for “Bite My Tongue” via Metal Injection.  The Providence, Rhode Island band will be releasing “Desolate” on September 13th.  Fans can check out the premiere here.
