Weezer released their new album “Teal” on January 24, 2019, which is a full cover album doing renditions of some of the great oldie hits such as songs by Toto, Michael Jackson, Black Sabbath, a-ha, Electric Light Orchestra, and one of my personal favorites, their version of TLC’s hit “No Scrubs” which I am tempted to say might better than the original or just a really nice refreshing take on it rather, before I get beaten by the devout and fierce TLC fans.

Throughout their career Weezer has never ceased to produce great music, formed in 1992 they continue to display their musical ability and range, to take on some of the greatest hits and pull it off perfectly while giving it their own unique spin on it is a true show that they are fearless as always and are here to show everyone what a formidable group they are.

This album was surprisingly released just before their new “The Black Album, which was recently released. “The Black Album” opens with two previously released songs “Zombie Bastards” and “Can’t Knock The Hustle”, which features Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz as an Uber driver.

So sit back and relax, relive all the golden oldies with the fresh new look provided by the awesome guys of Weezer.

The track list of their “Teal” album includes:

  1. Africa (Toto)
  2. Everybody Wants to Rule the World (Tears for Fears)
  3. Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) (The Eurythmics)
  4. Take On Me (a-ha)
  5. Happy Together (The Turtles)
  6. Paranoid (Black Sabbath)
  7. Mr. Blue Sky (Electric Light Orchestra)
  8. No Scrubs (TLC)
