Contributor’s Note:
Episode 41 now available with Mike Reilly of the legendary band Pure Prairie League. I had the pleasure of chatting with Mike backstage and the majestic Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL before their set began. The first half of the show I discuss the venue and the moments with Mike at the venue before the interview took place.
The second half of the show is my discussion with Mike and we discuss songs “Two Lane Highway”, “Let Me Love You Tonight”. “Silver Wings” by Merle Haggard, “Goodbye, So Long”, and of course “Falling In and Out of Love/Amie”. Mike shares a heart wrenching story of a life threatening health crisis he faced and the person he met while they waited for an organ donor. The story could really be made into a movie.
