Contributor’s Note: A new supergroup named Foxhall Stacks has released their debut album “The Coming Collapse”, and Bill Barbot of Foxhall Stacks sat down with The Don’s Hit List Podcast via FAB Radio International.
Bill joined the show to go through the goosebump moments I found in the music. This album is so good from beginning to end. Songs are catchy and I sing them out loud (not during the interview so you’re safe.)
The band consists Bill Barbot (Jawbox, Burning Airlines), Jim Spellman (Velocity Girl), Brian Baker (Bad Religion, Minor Threat, Dag Nasty), and Pete Moffett (Government Issue, Burning Airlines, Wool, Second Letter).
The influences may surprise some, but those that love music in general with a nod to punk, classic rock, and power pop will be pleased.
Some of the influences discussed on this record: The Replacements, The Damned, Sweet, Slade, Journey, The Rolling Stones, and more. Also, fans of Teenage Fanclub, The Posies, and Dinosaur Jr will appreciate this record.
