‘Time Flies’ is the new single from alt rockers Andy Rocks landing on 29th November 2019. Hailing from Germany, this track follows the release of their debut EP ‘Porcelain Heart’ which landed earlier this year. Check out the EP here.
‘Time Flies’ is a more experimental track drawing inspiration from vocalist Andrea’s painting which features as the single’s artwork. It is an emotional track exploring the human understanding of the passing of time. The abstract nature of the single brings a different sound from the German rockers at this early stage in their career.
“Time Flies is a very special song and not one you would expect at once from a rock band. It cannot be put into one specific genre of music. This song for me is rather like an abstract painting (like the artwork). It describes a certain state of mind in a specific moment, like in a dream or lost in thought. The basic song was actually written in 10 minutes, but it took a while to find the right arrangement to underline the kind of atmosphere or mood it needed. It deals with time itself as something you cannot grasp and the individual awareness of feeling it pass”. – Andrea
