Editor’s Note: Welcome to this special fourth weekend of December edition of Weekend Brunch Edition Weekly News and Spotify Playlist via Madness To Creation! This playlist theme is “ICYM Year-End Edition”. The air is crisp, and people are getting stressed out knowing that the holidays are right around the corner. As we have been crazy busy with our work weeks, we are celebrating the weekend! We crack open some eggs, fry up some steak, and enjoy some brunch. It is broken down into the following categories:
- Meat & Taters: This is where the heavy hitters come in to play. The main course if you will. Chances are you’ve heard of this group.
- Light & Fluffy: This is where a band/artist might come off on the lighter side of music. Where you might have a potato pancake with the glass of OJ.
- Tailgate: Because you can’t wait til lunch or supper so these bands/artists get you in the mood to tailgate and party over brunch.
- On The Side: These bands/artists are brand new(well to us anyways) and you might put a little on the saucer to give it a try before diving into the meat & taters!
Meat & Taters:
- Metal giants Asking Alexandria gave their fans a post-Christmas surprise by releasing the deluxe version entitled “LP5 DLX”. The deluxe version includes a remix with Hyro The Hero along with a Sirius XM live performance and acoustic and remix versions of their smash hit “Alone In A Room”. - Legendary jam band The Disco Biscuits have released a live cover of “Rapture” by Blondie. Fans can check out the live stream here. The Disco Biscuits are performing every night for the rest of the year at Playstation Theater in New York City.
- Legendary composer/Elvis Costello keyboardist Steve Nieve announces short tour. The tour will kick off January 5th at Casbah in San Diego, California and wrap up on January 18th at Largo in Los Angeles, California.
- Australian rockers Airbourne have announced “The Boneshaker Tour”. The tour will kick off on April 30th at Gramercy Theatre in New York City and wrap up on May 23rd at Corona Theatre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Check out the video for “Backseat Boogie” here.
- Mosey, which is the solo project of Dan Pawlovich of Panic! At The Disco released the holiday single “If Christmas Didn’t Exist”. All proceeds from Bandcamp will go towards charity from the Know Hope Records Bandcamp page. Check out the single here.
- Clint Lowery(Sevendust) have released the music video for “Alive” off of January 31st release “God Bless The Renegades”. Fans can check out the music video here and Clint Lowery will be providing support for Alter Bridge starting February 8th at War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
- Hip-hop artist Young Thug have released the music video for “Boy Back”. The music video features Nav and “The London” is up for a Grammy nomination for best “Rap/Sung” performance.
- Hip-hop artist Fetty Wap have released the music video for “Fresh N Clean” for upcoming 2020 release “King Zoo. Fans can check out the music video here.
