Editor’s Note:  It’s been 10 years in the making, but Bleed The Sky is back to slay in the metalcore world.  The Orange County giants just released their album entitled “This Way Lies Madness” along with their music video for “Serpent”.  Bleed The Sky is composed of Noah Robinson on vocals, Austin D’Amond on drums, Wayne Miller on guitars, Kevin Garcia on guitars and David Culbert on bass.  In this interview with Madness To Creation, Noah of Bleed The Sky discusses “This Way Lies Madness”, the making of the “Serpent” music video and the impact of mental health awareness. Madness To Creation:  You released “This Way Lies Madness”.  Take us into the writing process of the band and the most challenging and rewarding aspect in terms of completing this album.

Noah:  Well, this album was very challenging on the writing side.  We are spread out all over the US, (California, Oregon and Oklahoma).  We got violently shoved into file sharing through Dropbox, Google Drive etc.  It wasn’t our ideal choice for the writing process but certain aspects were very convenient.  The organics of writing in a room together are sometimes lost due to logistics, but we have all jammed enough together that it was still very exciting to see what everyone came up with on their own.  It’s a process we have embraced and will certainly continue to use on future projects!

Madness To Creation:  You’re going on tour with Skinlab!  What can fans expect from this show?

Noah:  This entire tour is going to be extremely high energy!  We’re so excited to be taking out the legendary Skinlab!  Every band on this tour (So This Is Suffering, Arise In Chaos and Skinlab) brings an unrelenting level of aggression.  I think people can expect to be exhausted after one of these shows!!

Madness To Creation:  Take us into the music video for “Serpent”.  Favorite and least favorite thing about making music videos.

Noah:   That day was the first time in 10 years we had all been in a room together!  We wanted to do a performance video and loved the natural energy we brought that day after that long of a break from music!  We rented a rehearsal space we rented in California and shot the video in 1 afternoon.  My favorite part of shooting videos is the ability to shoot take after take until you get the perfect one.  With the live show, what you see is what you get.  It does however become very monotonous playing the same song over and over during the video shoot.

Madness To Creation:  Do you like snakes or are you afraid of snakes?

Noah:  I love snakes #anaconda

Madness To Creation:  At Madness To Creation, we focus on mental health awareness and normalizing that conversation, what is so important about taking care of yourself and what do you do to take care of yourself?

Noah:  We are a family.  We constantly encourage each other to live as healthy as possible, both physically and mentally.  We’ve all had our bouts with mental health, and truly value the importance of understanding that we are not alone and that we have each other’s backs!

Madness To Creation:  What else would you like to add about Bleed The Sky?

Noah:    We’re just so excited for the opportunity to come back after all these years and deliver an album that we’re this proud of!  Thank you so much for your time!
