Editor’s Note:  Welcome to the 15th edition of Weekend Brunch Edition Weekly News and Spotify Playlist via Madness To Creation!  The air is crisp, and visibility is virtually zero around these parts.  As we have been crazy busy with our work weeks, we are celebrating the weekend!  We crack open some eggs, fry up some steak, and enjoy some brunch.  But wait, we missed out some music news and you might be wanting some new music to check out!  Well, Madness To Creation is your hookup, holler if you hear us!  #SorryScottSteiner  So, after you put away the Halloween decorations, sit back and relax and enjoy this weekly Spotify playlist. It is broken down into the following categories:

  1.  Meat & Taters:  This is where the heavy hitters come in to play.  The main course if you will.  Chances are you’ve heard of this group.
  2.  Light & Fluffy:  This is where a band/artist might come off on the lighter side of music.  Where you might have a potato pancake with the glass of OJ.
  3.  Tailgate:  Because you can’t wait til lunch or supper so these bands/artists get you in the mood to tailgate and party over brunch.
  4.  On The Side:  These bands/artists are brand new(well to us anyways) and you might put a little on the saucer to give it a try before diving into the meat & taters!

Meat & Taters:

  1.  KAYZO announced tour dates for the “Unleashed Tour”.  Tour kicks off on March 27th at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver and wraps up on March 9th at WAMU Theater in Seattle.
  2. Breaking Benjamin taps Cold frontman Scooter Ward for music video for “Far Away”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  3. The Word Alive releases music video for “No Way Out”.  Fans can check out the music video here and “Monomania” is slated for release on February 21st via Fearless Records.  The Word Alive will be providing support for Falling In Reverse beginning February 8th in San Antonio.
  4. The New Regime which features Ilan Rubin(Nine Inch Nails/Angels & Airwaves) released their EP entitled “Body”, which is off of their upcoming full-length album “Heart Mind Body & Soul”.  Rubin will be drumming on The Late Night with Seth Meyers show from February 3rd through the 7th.  Fans can check out “Body” here.
  5.  Delain released their music video for “Ghost House Heart”.  “Apocalypse & Chill” is due out February 7th via Napalm Records.  They will be performing February 6th in Birmingham, United Kingdom.
  6.  Caspian has released “On Circles” via Triple Crown Records.   They will start their tour on January 30th in Los Angeles and the tour wraps up June 14th in Austin, Texas.
  7.  Canadian legendary rockers Billy Talent have released their single entitled “Reckless Paradise”.  Fans can check out the single here and it’s the follow up to their previous release “Forgiveness I & II”.
  8. Me And That Man composed of Nergal of Behemoth, released his latest music video entitled “Mestwo”.  Fans can check out the video here and “New Man, Same Songs, Same Shit Vol. 1” is due out March 27th via Napalm Records.
  9. Megan Thee Stallion released her single entitled “B.I.T.C.H”.  It brilliantly samples “Rather Be Your Ni**a” by 2Pac!  Check it out here!
  10. Jasta released the music video for “Parasitic”.  The music video features Howard Jones(Light The Torch), Dino Cazares(Fear Factory) and Kirk Windstein(Crowbar).
  11. Smokepurpp has recently released his music video featuring Denzel Curry for “What I Please”.  He also announced that he will be performing at the Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 2nd at the 12th Annual LAUNCH Music Conference & Festival.
  12. Kevin Liles and Young Thug surprised Florida A&M by announcing that the winner of the “Hot” Battle of the Bands Challenge will receive a $25,000 donation to the school’s music/band department courtesy of Young Stoner Life Records and 300 Entertainment.
  13. Faith No More announced that second June 9th show in Manchester, United Kingdom will have all proceeds go to the Australian Charities:  WIRES & CFS Foundation.  Fans can donate to Wires here and to CFS Foundation here.
  14. The Frogs are making a comeback!  They will be releasing their previously unreleased LP entitled “1st” on April 3rd via End of All Music Records.  Evan Dando of The Lemonheads will be teaming with Jimmy Flemion for a West Coast run beginning February 14th in Vancouver, Canada and the West Coast run will wrap up on February 22nd in Las Vegas.

Light & Fluffy:

  1. Brazilian singer/songwriter Edo Ferragamo released his blistering cover of “Memories” by Maroon 5.  Fans can check out the cover here.
  2.  Washington D.C. indie-pop group Sub-Radio released their single for “Better Than That”.  Fans can check out the Dave Aude remix here.
  3.  California singer/songwriter Ismay announces release of her debut record entitled “Songs of Sonoma” for February 21st.  Ismay premiered “A Song in Praise of Sonoma Mountain” via American Songwriter Magazine.
  4.  Indie-rockers Horse Jumper Of Love will be performing at SXSW this year!  They also released their music video for “John Song” and fans can check it out here!
  5.  Columbus, Ohio troubadour Micah Schnabel announced he will be providing support for Frank Turner in March in the United Kingdom!  He released his record entitled “The Teenage Years of the 21st Century” this past December.
  6.  Nashville songstress Kaley Pearson announced the release of her single “Listen To Your Heart Break” to be on February 7th.  Fans can pre-order the single here.
  7.  Washington D.C. soul/r&b duo Summer & Dennis Rhymes released their music video for “When It’s This Good”.  Fans can check out the video here.

Tailgate:

  1.  California indie rockers Filmspeed released their single for “Brain Dead”.  Fans can check out the single here.
  2.  Picturesque released their music video for “Necessary”, which takes us into the insecurities of dating apps and the hook-up culture.  Fans can check out the music video here and they will be performing tonight at the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn with Hands Like Houses and Dead American.
  3.  Norwegian rock band Audrey Horne released their live music video for “Sail Away”.  Fans can check out the music video here and their live album “Waiting For The Night” is released February 28th via Napalm Records.
  4.  Minneapolis metal band Graveslave premiered their music video for “God of Slaughter” via Metal Insider.  Fans can check out the music video premiere here.
  5.  Indian metal band Bloodywood is debuting “Machi Bhasad(Expect A Riot)” via SiriusXM Test Drive.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  6.  New Jersey rocker Deletto streamed his album entitled “OldKID” via Substream Magazine.  Fans can check out the premiere here.
  7.  Nashville metal act Orthodox released their music video for “Look At Me”.  “Let It Take Its Course” is due out February 7th via Unbeaten Records and they will be kicking off their tour on February 6th in Indianapolis.
  8.  Dream punk band Glacier Veins announced that they will be releasing their debut album entitled “The World You Want To See” on February 28th via Equal Vision Records.  Fans can check out the music video for “Everything Glows” here.
  9.  Italian metal band Extrema have released their music video for “The Call”.  The band will embark on a tour of Italy in February beginning in Genova at Crazy Bull on February 1st.
  10.  Pennsylvania hardcore outfit Choice To Make have released their single for “June”.  “Vicious Existence” is due out February 14th via Flatspot Records.
  11.  The Buttertones are currently on a nationwide tour with Reverend Horton Heat.  They will be releasing an album this spring and the tour continues tonight in San Francisco and wraps up on February 21st in Dallas.

  1.  German punksters The Deadnotes tackle the topic of mental health on their music video for “Never Perfect”.  Fans can check out the music video here.  “Courage” is due out February 14th.
  2.  Finland’s SundaySong released their music video for “Mountainheart.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  3. Sweden legendary prog-rock band Kedama announces February 14th release for “The Complete Collection” via Billboard.  Check out their single for “Hwrklnzg” here.
  4. Florida’s worst party ever released their single for “what about you” today for upcoming release entitled “here, online”.  “here, online” EP is due out February 14th and fans can check out the single here.

  9.  Long Island pop-rockers PRSNA released a teaser for “Calm Before The Storm”.  Their upcoming record is being produced by Gary Cioni, who has produced for Crime In Stereo, Free Throw and Hot Mulligan.
  10.  Australian indie-rockers Slowly Slowly released their music video for “Race Car Blues”.  Fans can check out the music video here and “Race Car Blues” album will be released on February 28th.
  11.  Connecticut rockers Half Hearted have released their music video for “Vicious Cycle” via The Noise.  Their self-titled debut album is slated for release on March 20th.
  12. Indie pop/hip-hop artist Rockie Brown released her music video for “Soul Sister Retribution”.  Fans can check out the music video here.
  13. Ukraine’s Space Of Variations signs with Napalm Records.  Their debut EP entitled “XXXXX” is due out February 3rd.  Check out the music video for “Slowmo” here.
  14.  Swedish indie rockers Tribe Friday release their single entitled “Talk So Loud”.  Their EP entitled “Chasing Pictures” is due out in March.  They will be performing in New York City on January 28th.
  15.  Austin pop duo Moonray released their single for “Cotton Candy Disco Pie”.  Their EP “Honeymoon” is due out February 14th.
  16.  Austin funk band The Vapor Caves released their music video for “Bitch To The Boys”.  Their album “Feel Yourself” is out now.
  17.  Kerrang! Magazine premieres the music video for “Losers Pt. 2” by Spanish Love Songs.  Fans will be anticipating the release of “Brave Faces Everyone” on February 7th via Pure Noise Records.  Spanish Love Songs are supporting The Menzingers in Europe/United Kingdom before supporting The Wonder Years in the United States.
  18. Convey releases their music video for “City of Skin and Bone” via New Noise Magazine.  Fans can check out the video here and the album of the same name is out now and Convey will be donating portions of album sales to HeartSupport.
