Editor’s Note:  Out of Arizona comes a band that mixes garage rock and old-school punk rock and that is The Venomous Pinks.  They are creating quite the buzz with the fire-producing, bondage-inducing rendition of “I Want You” by Joan Jett & The Blackhearts.  They shared the stage with Tsunami Bomb and Death By Stereo over the weekend and have signed with Die Laughing Records.  Big things are coming for The Venomous Pinks.  In this interview with Madness To Creation, The Venomous Pinks gives us an inside look at the “I Want You” music video, what can fans expect from their live show and mental health awareness.  Fans can find The Venomous Pinks at the following locations:

Madness To Creation:  How much fun was it to do this music video for “I Want You”?

Gaby:  It was extremely fun and a bit intimidating! As you can see in the music video I’m getting burned, I’ve never been burned before or put into a cage. I was afraid my hair was going to catch fire since I usually put on hairspray, but Soma Snakeoil is a professional at what she does and knew my fear and made sure I was okay with it all.   It was definitely a band bonding experience.

Madness To Creation:  What was your favorite thing about making the music video?

Gaby: My favorite part was everyone collaborating on the spot, we came into this with a general idea of having a powerful woman as a main character but after that we had no direction. Everyone brainstorming until we had all the shots.

Working as team to make it all possible and put together to make sense. Alexander Thomas is an incredible director and he made sure we kept on track.

Madness To Creation:  You signed with Die Laughing Records, what can fans that have never heard your music before expect from The Venomous Pinks?

Gaby:  They can expect highly energetic live performance, catchy tunes, hardcore dance moves to love songs and catchy as hell harmonies. We will be touring all over the world this year so most likely will be in your town! Check out our website for tour dates. New singles and music videos coming out this year

Madness To Creation:  Biggest reason why you got into music?

Gaby:  I got into music at a very young age, I remember my first instrument was the violin in 3rd grade. Since then I’ve always had an instrument on my hands. The older I got the more problems around me, I got into different music styles and different instruments. Playing music in an incredible feeling, I can express anything I want, and it makes me feel amazing.

Madness To Creation:  You’ve shared the stage with Tsunami Bomb and Death By Stereo this past weekend, why should people come out early to see your band?

Gaby:  I think we’ve made a buzz this week with this incredible music video, will we be whipped on stage? burned? Put into a cage and fed pizza? you’ll have to come out and find out.

Madness To Creation:  Biggest goals for this year?

Gaby:  Our biggest goal is to get our music out to as many people and travel the world.  Our goal this year was to play in Canada and Europe and that is being booked and planned as we speak.

Madness To Creation:  At Madness To Creation, we focus on mental health awareness, what are some things that help you get through when life gets hard and what advice do you have for our readers?

Gaby:  When life gets hard, I love to work out, it makes you feel good and after a good work out your problems don’t seem that bad after all.  I like getting lost in running and lifting weights. Really does wonders for your mental health. I usually do a lot of my thinking while running, usually when I can think things clearly and calmly. I advise to go for a run or pick up some weights, don’t cope your sadness with drugs or alcohol. Keep that positive mental attitude.

Madness To Creation:    What else would you like to add?

Gaby:  Go check out our music on Spotify and go follow us on Instagram and like on Facebook! Also check our tour dates on our website, we will be doing a east coast tour this May ending in Canada, Europe in August.
