Editor’s Note:  Welcome to the 17th edition of Weekend Brunch Edition Weekly News and Spotify Playlist via Madness To Creation!  It’s the middle of February already and we are gearing up for our hot dates for the biggest couple’s consumerism holiday there is known as Valentine’s Day.  Guarantee you the sole purpose of the holiday is to make sure that Hallmark, Russell Stover, 1-800 Flowers and Trojan all stay in freaking business.  As we have been crazy busy with our work weeks, we are celebrating the weekend!  We crack open some eggs, fry up some steak, and enjoy some brunch.  But wait, we missed out some music news and you might be wanting some new music to check out!  Well, Madness To Creation is your hookup, holler if you hear us!  #SorryScottSteiner  So, after you put away the Halloween decorations, sit back and relax and enjoy this weekly Spotify playlist. It is broken down into the following categories:

  1.  Meat & Taters:  This is where the heavy hitters come in to play.  The main course if you will.  Chances are you’ve heard of this group.
  2.  Light & Fluffy:  This is where a band/artist might come off on the lighter side of music.  Where you might have a potato pancake with the glass of OJ.
  3.  Tailgate:  Because you can’t wait til lunch or supper so these bands/artists get you in the mood to tailgate and party over brunch.
  4.  On The Side:  These bands/artists are brand new(well to us anyways) and you might put a little on the saucer to give it a try before diving into the meat & taters!

Meat & Taters:

  1.  Good Trouble actress/recording artist Cierra Ramirez premiered her music video for “Over Your Head” via Refinery29.  Fans can check out the video here
  2.  Iconic songwriter Shelly Peiken offers a reimagination of “What A Girl Wants” for the 20th Anniversary of the iconic hit single that was sung by Christina Aguilera.  Fans can check it out here.  Shelly Peiken has written hit songs such as “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks, “Come On Over Baby” by Christina Aguilera, “Almost Doesn’t Count” by Brandy, along for artists such as Jessie J, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Cher, and countless others. 
  3. Villagers of Ioannina City released their music video for “For The Innocent”.  Fans can check out the music video here and “Age of Aquarius” is due out April 3rd via Napalm Records.
  4. Brazil’s Ego Kill Talent released their music video for “Now!”.  The band will be opening for Metallica and Greta Van Fleet for stadium shows in Brazil along with sharing the stage with System Of A Down in Europe.  Fans can check out the video here.
  5. The Used announced upcoming album “Heartwork” via Big Noise for April 24th.  The band has released the video for “Paradise Lost, A Poem by John Milton” and will be performing tonight at Strummer’s Bar & Grill in Fresno, California.
  6. Viral TikTok hip-hop artist Savage Ga$p have released the single “i hope ur doing well”.  Fans can check out the single here.
  7. Clutch released a new studio recording for “Spacegrass” for the Weathermaker Vault Series.  Fans can check out the recording here
  8. JG Thirlwell(Foetus & Manoerxia) & Simon Steensland announces upcoming release for “Oscillospira” fia Ipecac Recordings.  Fans can check out the single “Heron” here.  
  9. Metal legends Napalm Death released their 7 inch vinyl and EP “Logic Ravaged By Brute Force”.  They will be taking EyeHateGod, Misery Index, Rotten Sound and Bat on European Tour, which continues tonight in Berlin, Germany.
  10. High School Musical’s Olivia Rodrigo performed “All I Want” on “Live with Kelly and Ryan”.  Check out the performance here.
  11. The soundtrack to “Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made” is out now via Disney.  Rolfe Kent composed the score to the soundtrack.
  12. Matthew Morrison released the single for “Friend Like Me”.  It is off of the Disney Dreamin’ album. Fans can check out the single here.
  13. Fetty Wap announces 20 date “The King Zoo” tour.  The tour kicks off April 7th at Toad’s in New Haven, Connecticut and wraps up May 18th at Gramercy Theatre in New York City.
  14. Metal band Whitechapel released three live videos via Revolver Magazine.  The videos are “Forgiveness Is Weakness”, “Brimstone”, and “When A Demon Defiles A Witch”.  Fans can check out the premiere here.
  15. Grey Daze(featuring Chester Bennington of Linkin Park) announces April 10th release for “Amends” and they have released their music video for “Sickness”.  Fans cana check out the video here.

 

Light & Fluffy:

  1.  Montreal’s Le Couleur have released their single for “Concorde” via Atwood Magazine.  The upcoming LP of the same name is out April 17th via Lisbon Lux Records. Check out the single here.
  2.  Australian pop band MOBS released the music video for “School’s Out”.  Fans can check out the video here and “Cinema Paradiso” is due out February 28th via Rude Records.
  3. Alternative pop-rock act Between Kings have released the visualizer video for “Antidote”.  Fans can check out the video here and “The Regime” EP will be out on April 24th.  
  4. Pop rockers Young Culture released their video for “Holiday In Vegas”.  Fans can check out the video here and they are supporting Have Mercy on Friday, February 21st in Dallas.
  5. Billboard Magazine premieres single for “Mess” by St. Louis pop duo Calloway Circus.  Fans can check out the single here and “Entropy” is due out on Valentine’s Day.
  6. American Songwriter Magazine premiered the single for “The Mountain” by Americana duo The Danberrys.  Fans can check out the single here.  The single features Darrell Scott.
  7. New York City folk-pop act Satin Nickel premiered the single for “Call It” via Pancakes & Whiskey.  Fans can check out the video here and “Shadow of Doubt” is due out April 10th.
  8. South Carolina singer/songwriter Matt Megrue released his latest album “The Mourner’s Manual”.  Fans can check out the music video for “Afterglow” here

  2. Wildestreet announced more North American/United Kingdom dates.  They will also be releasing their next single “Born To Be” on February 21st.  Fans can pre-save the link here
  3. French industrial/goth rock act PORN have released the music video for “Some Happy Moments.  Fans can check out the video here for upcoming release “No Monsters In God’s Eyes: Act III”.
  4. Revolver Magazine premieres the music video for “Monument” by Azusa.  Azusa is formed from Sea + Air, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Extol. Fans can check out the premiere here and “Loop of Yesterdays” is due out April 10th via Solid State Records.

  6. Canadian Rockers Imonolith have released their single for “Dig” off of upcoming record “State of Being” which is due our March 27th.  Imonolith is composed of members of Devin Townsend Project, Threat Signal, Methods of Mayhem, Noise Therapy and Econoline Crush.
  7. Kerrang! Magazine premieres the music video for “Greyscale” by New Jersey hardcore band Life Itself.  Fans can check out the premiere here.
