This past month, progressive-punk heavyweights Belmont released their EP entitled “Reflections” via Pure Noise Records.  This EP was produced by Mat Kerekes of Citizen alongside his brother Chris.

Belmont released “Viccissitude” 5 years ago and have since traversed the United States a few handfuls of times.  If you’ve found yourself involved in DIY for the past half-decade you couldn’t miss the Chicago progressive-punk band on the road, headlining shows and getting crowds moving from coast-to-coast.  The band strives to keep doing what they do best, writing great hooks and infectious melodies, staples of their genre.  Belmont‘s newest release entitled Reflections, combines some of the best elements of the past decade of emotional, popular music; a trap beat on the inaugural track, By My Side and the kind of ambiance and electronics found in Angels & Airwaves with the aggression and technicality of more metallic projects like A Day To Remember and Killswitch Engage.  Belmont continues to be the leaders in their genre, with “Reflections” being a testament to their longevity and a great follow-up to a career well-traveled.
