Contributor’s Note: Country music legend John Berry joins The Don’s Hit List with The Don & The Grizz on the 120th episode. Born in South Carolina and raised in Georgia, John Berry has been making music since 1979 and has two gold albums and one platinum album to his repertoire. He broke out in 1992 thanks to an endorsement from President George H.W. Bush and signed to Liberty Records. He busted out in 1994 with the number one country smash “Your Love Amazes Me”, which the Christian community and Country music community equally embraces. John would sing that song in memory of his wife, who used sign language to assist him while he was undergoing brain surgery. John is also known for his Christmas music. He was nominated for a Grammy for that song, and tore the house down at the 1995 Country Music Awards with his acoustic performance of “If I Had Any Pride Left At All”. They go through incredible stories of their songs and his career. John described this as “the best interview he’s ever done in his career”, this is a MUST listen.
