Madness To Creation: You’re released the single for “Everyday’s A Different Beach”, take us into the single, and it sounds like it was from a very personal place.
Madison Wolfe: Yes! It is a very special song to me! For me it is about dealing with anxiety and the stress of the world. It is about remembering that you are not defined by your worst day. Every day is different and for me, this song is a reminder that every day you get to wake up and choose how you are going to let the day’s plans affect you.
Madness To Creation: How has the response been to your debut single?
Madison Wolfe: People are really relating to it which is so amazing! I have been LOVING hearing what this song means to people because it honestly means so many different things to people. It is so special!
Madness To Creation: How did you get started in music?
Madison Wolfe: My dad was in cover bands while i was growing up and i remember when the band would practice in our basement, i would press my ear against the kitchen floor and listen! Sometimes if I was feeling really sneaky, I would listen at the bottom of the steps!! As I got older and started playing guitar and writing my own music, the band would let me open on stage for them or play on their set breaks which was HUGE for me! I am so thankful for them and for my dad for lighting the music fire within me!!
Madness To Creation: Sounds like music was in your household, what were some artists that you remember singing to or jamming out to?
Madison Wolfe: Oh my! As a kid, probably age 5-10ish, my best friends Emily & Rachel would come over and we would swing on my swing set with my brother and sister screaming Sugarland and Kenny Chesney lyrics!! As I got a bit older I was very into Taylor Swift as well! She has been unbelievably influential in my music career.
Madness To Creation: How do you get through your anxiety?
Madison Wolfe: Well I am very open about it because I think that there is quite the stigma around it, so for me, talking about it and showing myself that I am not the only one who feels anxious sometimes is very helpful. And honestly, my music is how I get through it! This song has been huge for my anxiety journey as well. My hopes for this song is that it shows people out there that they are not alone if they feel this way, too.
Madness To Creation: We cover mental health awareness at Madness To Creation, what are some things that help you get through the difficult times of life?
Madison Wolfe: I am a big believer in mindfulness and meditation! You feel kind of silly at first but it is very helpful in learning to relax and get a better handle on what life is throwing at you.
Madness To Creation: What’s next for Madison Wolfe?
Madison Wolfe: We are releasing some special stuff in the new year, so stay tuned!
