Editor’s Note:  Nigel Glockler of legendary British metal band Saxon joins the Madness To Creation Podcast for the 39th episode. In this episode, Nigel talks about the release of “Inspirations”, which provides “Saxon-ized” covers of famous classic rock songs such as “Stone Free” by Jimi Hendrix, “Paint It Black” by The Rolling Stones”, “Speed King” by Deep Purple and “Immigrant Song” by Led Zeppelin. Nigel is a drummer that so many metalheads cite as a major influence in their drumming and the cool thing is that you wouldn’t hear Nigel talk about it at all. Nigel talks about his legacy, how Cream, Deep Purple and The Rolling Stones influenced him and coping with the Covid-19 pandemic. The light is at the end of the tunnel folks, we are almost there to hopefully make this pandemic subside. If you like British metal thrown into your favorite classic rock songs, then look no further than “Inspirations” by Saxon via Silver Lining Music.
