(Mental Health Conversations): Matt Mucerino of CROSSING I’S DOTTING T’S

Editor's Note:  Matt Mucerino of Crossing I's Dotting T's converses with Madness To Creation to talk about mental health, music and their latest EP.  Crossing I's Dotting T's, out of Costa Mesa, California, recently released their EP, which is one of the most heartfelt EP's I've heard in quite sometime.  Their self-titled EP was inspired by Matt losing his cousin/best friend to cancer at the age of 21.  Their song "See You At Your Funeral" is specifically about his cousin/best friend, while the other songs touch on mental health issues such as depression, anxiety and not feeling wanted.  This EP is a wonderful listen as it mixes the 90's power rock along with the 2000's brand of post-hardcore/emo, and I see Crossing I's Dotting T's doing very well for themselves in the future.  Fans can fi...

(Concert Therapy Reviews): Summerland Tour featuring EVERCLEAR, HOOBASTANK & WHEATUS live at Wooly’s in Des Moines, Iowa (9/11/2021)

A note to touring managers and management in the music industry, never ever schedule a tour date in Iowa when the Iowa vs. Iowa State football game is going on.  A note to bands and recording artists, if the audience size isn't what you expected it to be, play that show as if you sold out a major festival.  Everclear with special guests Hoobastank and Wheatus did just that in front of a pretty intimate audience at Wooly's in Des Moines on September 11th, 2021. Wheatus was crazy good!  I mean I only knew them from their instant classic "Teenage Dirtbag", however they just killed the audience, figuratively not literally.  I love the tongue-in-cheek vibe that Wheatus put on and the humor and sarcasm that the frontman had.  In all seriousness, if you get beyond their "nerd rock" vibe, t...

(Album Review) “Marching in Time” by TREMONTI

Being a staple in the music industry for over two decades is legendary status, but maintaining a constant flow of fresh ideas in art for that long is a different story. However, Tremonti makes that task look easy with their most recent album, Marching in Time. As usual the band brings something fresh while staying in line with the things that original fans can attach themselves to. From beginning to end it’s a masterpiece that was very much needed. “A World Away” is the song that starts the album off in a giant way with immediate chugs and drums that could get anyone excited. As the song progress, the realization is that we are in for something very different than the previous album A Dying Machine. Tremonti has this unique talent to blend heavy and chunky together with an absolute catc...
