(Mental Health Conversations): AMERICA PART TWO

Editor's Note:  New Jersey socially conscious, mental health conscious trio America Part Two recently released their music video for "Welcome To The Times", which follows up with previously released singles "I Don't Wanna" and "Glaciers."  The aforementioned singles take on hatred, racism and those that are just creeps towards women head on with their emotionally charged lyrics and powerful arrangements.  Case in point, the single "I Don't Wanna" talks about when a woman says no, she means no and that's the end of the discussion.  In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation, America Part Two members Alex Fabio(vocals/guitars), Fred Rainville(vocals/bass) and Sam Weingarten on drums discusses education, dealing with loss of a grandfather and their music.  Fans can find Ameri...

(Concert Review) “Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey featuring SILVERSTEIN” (1/12/2019)

This was a special night for those that loved the emo/post-hardcore phase of music in the 2000's.  A band that has stood the test of time through constantly evolving in their music is Silverstein.  On January 12th, they performed with special guests Hawthorne Heights in front of a packed house at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey to promote the 15th Anniversary of their trademark album "When Broken Is Easily Fixed". Honestly, I have never listened to this band before, so I didn't know what to expect.  The stage had colorful lights in the background and their drums sounded heavy like thunder.  With the lights, fog machine, and their energetic performance, this got the crowd involved in more moshing and more crowdsurfing than I can remember at a show. Their first two song...

Maggie Schneider Gets Into The Christmas Spirit with Madness To Creation!

Editor's Note:  It was so good to talk to Maggie Schneider in reference to the Atlanta music scene, her performance at the Vans Warped Tour, and in regards to her indie-folk side project The Foreword.  She has also shared the stage with the likes of He Is We, Assuming We Survive, and We Were Sharks.  We also had a wonderful discussion about her career, Christmas traditions, and her singles "695 North Avenue" and "Pretend".  Fans can find Maggie Schneider at the following locations: www.facebook.com/itsmaggieschneider www.rockinmags.com www.twitter.com/rockinmags www.instagram.com/rockinmags www.facebook.com/TheForewordDuo https://linktr.ee/theforewordduo Madness To Creation:  What's going on today? Maggie:  Oh, nothing much, just excited for Christmas, I'm getting i...

The Musician’s Tribune Vol. 14: Minority 905 Picks Their Favorite Pop Punk Songs Exclusively with Madness To Creation!

Editor's Note:  It's been quite nice getting to know Canadian pop-punk band Minority 905.  The band that is known for their 10 minute Paramore discography cover recently released their album entitled "Dangerous Ambitions".  They decided to reveal their favorite pop-punk songs exclusively with Madness To Creation.  Fans can find Minority 905 at the following locations: www.facebook.com/Minority905 www.twitter.com/Minority905 www.instagram.com/minority905 Spasimir: 10. Quicksand - The Story So Far Great song all around from my favorite band of the 2010s. Really takes it back to the basics of punk with fast drums and guitars. Parker Cannon is one of the best voices in pop-punk right now and on this song, he killed it with every line.   9. My Friends Over You - New Found Glory C...

The Musician’s Tribune Vol. 9: “From All Time Low to Transform Space: How Vans Warped Tour Impacted My Career” by Maggie Schneider

Editor's Note:  There is something to be said about that singer-songwriter who takes multiple influences and creates it into his/her own brand.  That is what Atlanta native Maggie Schneider certainly did as she is carving her own niche into the music world.  Maggie's career began to launch as she found herself sharing the stage with the likes of State Champs, Jonny Craig, Like Pacific, and Courage My Love, and her EP "Tinted Glasses" is out now!  I would venture to say that she never imagined playing at Vans Warped Tour, let alone being produced by Rian Dawson of All Time Low, which she considers as one of her all time favorite bands.  In this edition of "The Musician's Tribune", you will read about how the band All Time Low came full circle in Maggie Schneider's life and career.  In the m...

(Album Review) “Living Proof” by State Champs

The phrase "living proof" can take on several meanings.  When I think of "living proof", I think of situations involving learning from tough lessons or going through challenging obstacles to prove doubters wrong and in order to grow as a person.  I also think of "living proof" as when you're giving advice of something that is advisable or not advisable, one advises because they've been through a situation and are trying to help somebody in that situation so the two people can relate to one another.  "Living Proof" means growth and maturation and pop-punksters State Champs embody that definition that I described with their June 15th release of "Living Proof" via Pure Noise Records. State Champs got help and mentoring from pop-punk heavyweights Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 and Alex Gaskarth of ...
