Madness To Creation Podcast: Mental Health Breakthroughs featuring Robin & Lela of VENUES + Album Review of “Solace”

https://open.spotify.com/episode/7sRLsZNE1qLWLK7C5Nvebf?si=79ecf88f177e4023 Editor's Note:  On August 27th, the blistering German modern metal band VENUES released their album entitled "Solace" via Arising Empire.  The band entered Sawdust Recordings with producer Christoph Wieczorek(Annisokay) to record "Solace" and the results have been nothing short of spectacular.  This is the first album to feature clean vocalist Daniela "Lela" Gruber and between her vocals and unclean vocalist Robin Baumann, there is a plethora of dynamics at play in this effort.  Venues has shared the stage with Polaris, The Amity Affliction and Atreyu.  Let's get straight on with the review of the record: "Solace" by VENUES, offers just what solace is supposed to offer, moments of clarity in the midst of brut...

(Mental Health Conversations) Madness To Creation Podcast Season 2 Ep. 13: Elias Soriano of NONPOINT

Editor's Note:  Elias Soriano, frontman of the amazing metal band Nonpoint, sat down with the Madness To Creation Podcast to get some things off his chest in a "Ruthless" fashion.  Nah, he was chill as the North Pole(for now given climate change).  Nonpoint has had one of the most productive "offseasons" aka Covid Season in the music industry.  First of all, they started their own record label called 361 Degrees.  Elias and his camp are taken their knowledge on what they learned in the music industry and applying it to the label and to bands and recording artists.  Secondly, they've had a song be the main theme song for the superior wrestling company AEW entitled "Ruthless.".  "Ruthless" is creating unprecedented success for this band.  If you don't believe me, check out their viral vi...

(Mental Health Conversations): Madness To Creation Podcast Season 2 Ep. 3: Travis Miguel of ATREYU

Editor's Note:  Travis Miguel, guitarist of the legendary metalcore band Atreyu, joins the Madness To Creation Podcast for the 2nd Season and 3rd Episode.  Last Friday, Atreyu released their album entitled "Baptize" to critical acclaim from Knotfest and Metal Insider.  The album features high profile collaborations from Matt Heafy of Trivium, Travis Barker of Blink 182 and Jacoby Shaddix of Papa Roach. They will be embarking on a tour in winter 2021 with Crown The Empire, Saul and Defying Decay as the supporting acts of the "Baptize" tour. In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation Podcast, Travis Miguel of Atreyu discusses the "Lead Sails + Paper Anchors" livestream event, his memories of the Taste of Chaos tour where they supported Deftones and Thrice, mental health,...

(Livestream Review): “Carry The Fire Part 2: Lead Sails + Paper Anchor” by ATREYU

"Lead Sails + Paper Anchor" by Atreyu was THE album that got them noticed in the mainstream rock world.  The song "Becoming The Bull" was featuring in the Madden '08 video game and was also used to promote commercials for UFC on Spike TV.  The album peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 and was the No. 1 album on the Billboard Rock charts.  The song "Falling Down" peaked at No.3 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart.  According to Brandon Saller on the livestream, "Lead Sails + Paper Anchor" was the first album to break into the mainstream rock charts. The livestream performance brought new life to their classic album.  The band just feels fresh with having Brandon Saller take over on vocals while "Porter" brings about the "anchor" with his unclean vocals.  Songs such as "Doomsday", "Fa...

(Livestream Review): ATREYU

Recently, metalcore mainstays Atreyu did a fan-request "Greatest Hits" livestream.  Fans were able to purchase general admission livestream tickets for $10 each, or they could've gotten VIP passes which included exclusive content for $35.  We recently viewed the "Greatest Hits Carry The Fire" livestream.  Coming up on December 4th, we will be doing a throwback review of their album "Lead Sails + Paper Anchors" and do a comparison/contrast so to speak between their studio album and the livestream album in its entirety.  Sit back and relax and enjoy part one of this review. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with this relatively new lineup.  Alex Varkatzas is no longer the main frontman and Brandon Saller stepped from behind the kit to be the frontman for Atreyu and this was a way to ...

HYRO THE HERO Converses with Madness To Creation on Craziest Live Moment, Doing Remixes During COVID-19, and if Donald Trump was in a Moshpit

Editor's Note:  Hyro The Hero is emulating what it means to be a hard rap/rock artist.  The primary reason why he had such a hiatus from 2011 to 2018 was that he was trying to find his identity as an artist.  He latched on to bands such as Korn, Atreyu, and the list goes on and he completely found his voice with his critically acclaimed 2018 release "Flagged Channel".  This man doesn't steer away from controversy either, he keeps it real and provocative.  However, he's been hunkering down like the rest of us(or what they should be doing), and doing remixes of songs during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this interview with Madness To Creation, Hyro The Hero discusses the COVID-19 pandemic, craziest live show moments, and how he would react if he saw Donald Trump in a mosh pit, along with collabo...

(Concert Review) “20th Anniversary Tour featuring ATREYU” Live at Mulcahy’s in Wantagh, New York (11/4/2019)

It was a loud and kind of crazy night for metal music as Atreyu with special guests Whitechapel, He Is Legend, Tempting Fate and Santa Cruz took the stage at Mulcahy's in Wantagh, New York.  This four week run is special for the diehard Atreyu fans as they are celebrating their 20th Anniversary of being a band by allowing the fans to pick the setlist, among other surprises.   Finnish hard-rock outfit Santa Cruz started off the Monday night at Mulcahy's.  They primarily played songs to support their new album entitled "Katharsis", which delivers fist-pumping and a whole lot of energy to the crowd of about 200 people at Mulcahy's.  I see this band out of Finland continuing to do very well for themselves in the not-too-distant future.   Los Angeles' TEMPTING FATE brought the...
