We Nerd Out Vol. 109: Bands MADNESS TO CREATION Covered in 2019! Year End Playlist!

I want to share this playlist with you.  Honestly, I thought we hit the pinnacle when we shot Warped Tour.  If you would've told us we would've covered Blink 182, Tool, Godsmack(twice) and New Kids On The Block in the same year, I would've been dreaming.  As the editor of Madness To Creation, I want to personally thank the following photographers/reviewers who made this incredible year possible: Will Wight, Crios Valentino, Kim Casper, Bryan Bardes, Amber Lyons, Kelz Bailey, Michelle Barron, Emily McDermott, Shawn Doyle, Mike Victorick, Ian Storck, Christopher James Ryan, Eva Dang, Holly Royle, Mark Dean, Derrick Climer, Richard Lepre, Evan Zwisler, Glenn Fernetti, Chris McCormick, Megan Jane Earp, Shannon Myers, John Nelson, and William Zimmermann, and Katie Hovland Madness To Creat...

(Concert Review) CANE HILL Live at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey (2/16/2019)

On February 16th, post-grunge giants CANE HILL came and kicked ass and took some names providing direct support for SEVENDUST on the "All I See Is War" tour!  It was a short and sweet set, and Cane Hill with their dark and moody lyrics to go along with the charisma of Elijah Witt as a frontman, successfully got the crowd warmed up for the rest of the night at the packed Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. Cane Hill whipped the crowd into a frenzy with their staple song "Lord Of Flies", which you might have heard if you watch NXT on the WWE Network.  The set was loud, dark, and the audience roared with approval as they closed the set with their song "Too Far Gone".  I was expecting more from their recent "Kill The Sun" release, but given the nature of the tour, I figured they wo...

(Concert Review) SEVENDUST Live at The Paramount in Huntington, New York (2/13/2019)

Editor's Note:  We would like to welcome esteemed photographer Crios Valentino to the fold.  Crios is a photographer from New York and he has contributed as a freelance photog for numerous publications, and we are honored to have him.   On February 13th, the day before Valentine's Day, legendary alt-metal band Sevendust took the stage in front of a packed house at The Paramount in Huntington, New York with special guests Tremonti, Cane Hill, Lullwater, and Kirra on the "All I See Is War" tour! They kicked off the night in such an old school way with their staple song "Black".  That intro that we all remember, they did an amazing job building up anticipation and getting the crowd to bounce.  The audience sang "Black" at the top of their lungs and you could tell that after all these ye...

(Concert Review) Vans Warped Tour 2018 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota

Going in, Madness To Creation knew that this was going to be something worth remembering for a long time.  However, the music scene seems to be changing rapidly and Kevin Lynam is hoping for the next generation to step it up in the festival circuit.  With a lump in my throat, I realized that this was going to be the final Warped Tour that I could ever be attending.  There are so many takeaways that I have from my memories of the Vans Warped Tour. I've decided instead of the typical review, that I would divulge into what Vans Warped Tour has meant to so many. There is something about a festival that brings people together.  In this particular festival, there is a sense of unity between the audience members.  We saw goths, street punk kids, hippies, LGBTQ+, and people of all races and relig...

Beau Bokan of blessthefall Converses with Madness To Creation on Choosing to Rise Again After Being Left for Dead, Bread, and Starbucks!

Editor's Note:  It was a great time chatting with one of my favorite vocalists in Beau Bokan of blessthefall.  What I've always appreciated about Beau is his brutal honesty and that he promotes living a healthy lifestyle.  We weren't sure what was going to happen with blessthefall, then their signing with Rise Records happened and they released a total annihilation of an album in "Hard Feelings", which sounds like they've been through some things and saw some things that they weren't supposed to see in this industry(figuratively) and decided to write about it!  After a successful tour providing support for the likes of Of Mice & Men, Cane Hill, and Fire From The Gods, blessthefall is set to provide support for the megatour featuring Asking Alexandria and Black Veil Brides.  Fans can fi...

NXT Takeover: New Orleans Deserves Every Star There Is To Be Given! Ten Reasons Why!

I have never watched a PPV where I felt completely wiped out and emotionally spent after watching NXT Takeover: New Orleans last night on the WWE Network.  The matches told an incredible story and we saw titles changing hands and the ultimate babyface underdog Johnny Gargano finally avenging his rival!  Here are ten reasons why this PPV deserves every star possible!  The live introduction by Cane Hill and Halestorm performing Ember Moon's entrance music.  This really added to the spectacle and set NXT apart from other brands as the modern "rock & wrestling" production that it's meant to be.  NXT is for us, the hardcore fans that also like rock music to go with our wrestling!  Tremendous performances by Cane Hill and Halestorm last night! That ladder match for the inaugural NXT North...

“Too Far Gone” by Cane Hill…Power and Strength!

Deep in the backwoods of Louisiana comes a band that has a newfound purpose, a new found sobriety(congratulations to Cane Hill), and a renewed sense of focus which is allowing them to cultivate copious amounts of power and strength as Cane Hill has released "Too Far Gone" via Rise Records. Elijah Reed, vocalist of Cane Hill, has stated that it was them wanting to feel invincible and all powerful via LSD that caused them to lose themselves and they went on a journey to rediscover who they are, and what we have now is a band that gives fascism the middle finger and sobriety the fist pump salute with their latest offering entitled "Too Far Gone", which was released January 19th via Rise Records. "Too Far Gone" starts off with the title track, which showcases the power and the return of mode...

Matt Gullucci, guitar/vocals for My Ticket Home, Sits Down with Madness To Creation in Regards to Their Craziest Fan Interaction, Puke, and Pet Peeves!

Editor's Note:  When Loudwire acknowledges your album "unReal" as "Best of 2017", you know that My Ticket Home is offering something special in their music.  Believe me when I say it, the more I listen to "unReal", the more layers that there are to unpack and the more sides you see to the band My Ticket Home.  They have recently came off of their successful tour providing support for hard rock heavyweights Nothing More and Hell Or Highwater and they recently announced that they will be performing at Rock On The Range in Columbus, Ohio, which is occurring from May 18th-20th.  Information in regards to Rock On The Range will be below the interview!  Check out our conversation with Matt Gallucci of My Ticket Home below! Madness To Creation:  What does "puke rock" mean? Matt:  Puke Rock ...
