(Mental Health Breakthroughs): AUTUMN STAY

Contributor's Note:  Austin, Texas gothic/electronica metal band AUTUMN STAY recently released their music video for "Closer To The Edge."  The song takes on a lot of meaning with layers to peel away for the listener, and it saw an exclusive premiere for the video via Side Line Magazine. Lyrically, the song dives into the dark side of being an artist and how often artists push themselves to the very brink of insanity. This song has everything from heavy hitting guitars to head bopping synth, to vocal harmonies that make you feel like you’re listening to a Sunday church choir!  Autumn Stay has shared the stage with the likes of Drowning Pool, Saliva, Straight Line Stitch and Oh, Sleeper.  In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation, Autumn Stay talks about mental health, the...

(Mental Health Conversations): Jared Navarre of STATIC CYCLE

Editor's Note:  Forget 2020.  Static Cycle is not letting 2020 get to them.  They have released several singles as of late entitled "Wolf", "Boxes" and most recently "Stay".  "Stay" is an incredibly personal song that takes the account of Jared(frontman)'s best friend's son, who tragically passed away during physical education class.  Jared talked to his best friend Ian's father and they come up with a beautiful yet somber concept about celebrating unity and sharing in one another's burdens.  Fans were asked to submit handwritten notes of the person that they've lost in their lives in order to tell Ian's story.  The video is a tearjerker for sure.  In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation, Jared Navarre of Static Cycle discusses the "Stay" music video, what's next for 20...

(Concert Review) MASQUERADE ROCK FEST featuring PUDDLE OF MUDD, FUEL & SPONGE hosted by DON JAMIESON Live at The Space in Westbury, New York (12/1/2019)

It was a crazy Sunday night as Don Jamieson of That Metal Show hosted The Masquerade Rock Fest featuring Puddle of Mudd, Fuel and Sponge with special guests The Raskins live at The Space in Wantagh, New York.  It was a night filled with nostalgia and feel-good rock with plenty of hits that took you back to the days of yesteryear, with Puddle of Mudd finding a new lease on life and making a massive comeback for the ages.   After Don Jamieson kicked off the night, The Raskins took the stage.  I would describe The Raskins as stylistically unique.  They seem to have brought quite a mixed bag of influences to the Space stage in Wantagh.  They had the retro rock feels of groups like KISS and Thin Lizzy, while mixing the songwriting sensibilities of people like Jim Croce and Don MacLean....

Micah Lindner of WAXPANEL Converses with Madness To Creation on Faith, “For Those Left Standing”, and Rocking Out for Christ!

Editor's Note:  There is no such thing as playing both sides of the fence when it comes to mainstream rock/post-grunge band out of Texas known as WAXPANEL.  Waxpanel unapologetically incorporates the teachings of Jesus Christ into their music while rocking your face off.  There is something real and authentic about this Texas trio and they share with us about their upcoming release "For Those Left Standing", which is to be released on February 22nd via Pavement Entertainment.  Fans can find Waxpanel at the following locations: www.facebook.com/WAXPANEL www.youtube.com/user/WAXPANEL Madness To Creation:  Tell us about the Texas music scene. Micah:  The Texas music scene is quite eclectic. I absolutely love it, and I almost don't know where to start. This great state has birthed ...

Trevor Phipps of Unearth Converses with Madness To Creation on Poker Tips, Remembering Vinnie Paul, and America’s Screwed Up Environmental Policies!

Editor's Note:  Let me tell you, this was one of the most chill interviews I have ever done.  Trevor Phipps of Unearth was like a long lost friend that I reconnected with.  Unearth was getting ready to dominate the Vans Warped Tour and we talked about everything from games on smartphones, to Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, to even Donald Trump's skewed environmental policies.  Unearth's single "Incinerate" recently hit number one on "The Devil's Dozen" via Liquid Metal.  Fans can find Unearth at the following locations: Madness To Creation:  (As Trevor is finishing up with a game on his smartphone), What kind of video games do you like to play? Trevor:  Not much of a gamer, but on the road, I like to play games.  I'll show you, (pulls out his phone), it's Clash Royale, it's like Cla...

(EP Review) “Rollin’ Stoned And Livin’ Free” by Them Evils

Recently, Southern California's own Them Evils released their major throwback of an EP entitled "Rollin' Stoned And Livin' Free" via Burning Records.  If you want rock and a headbanger's parking lot vibe to it, look no further than Them Evils. Them Evils is a three-piece band composed of Jordan Griffin on guitars/vocals, Jake Massanari on bass, and David Delaney II on drums.  They took their love for the rock & roll lifestyle and the love of living fast and the open road and created this banger of an EP with Kato Khandwala(The Pretty Reckless, Blondie, Drowning Pool, and Pierce The Veil) to produce this banger.  Based upon their success, Them Evils have been featured on Loudwire along with performing at Welcome To Rockville, Carolina Rebellion, and Rock On The Range festivals.  Thei...

Bassist Noah Denney of Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown Discusses Rock’N’Roll History with Madness To Creation!

Editor's Note:  It was a beautiful Friday Spring Night as Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown were providing direct support for Blackberry Smoke at the Surf Ballroom.  The Surf Ballroom is one of the most legendary venues in the United States as that was the last concert that Buddy Holly, The Big Bopper, and Richie Valens played before that fateful plane crash that happened north of Clear Lake, Iowa.  Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown have been making some noise in the rock world as they have shared the stage with the likes of Aerosmith, Guns 'N' Roses, and ZZTop, amongst playing all over in Europe and are hitting every corner in America.  Fans can check out Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown at the following locations: www.facebook.com/TylerBryantAndTheShakedown www.tylerbryantandtheshake...
