Contributor's Note:  Terry LeRoi of Granny 4 Barrel joins The Don's Hit List with The Don & The Grizz for the 292nd episode via FAB Radio International.  In this episode, Terry talks about linking up with members of Evanescence, Of Mice & Men and guitarist Sammy Boller for the cover of "Stand Up and Shout" by Dio for Ronnie James Dio's charity "Stand Up and Shout", which raises money for cancer research.  Through the Covid pandemic, Granny 4 Barrel has also released the single "The Art of Deception" and the "Matriarch of Metal" goes in-depth on the single with The Don & The Grizz. They also talk about the music video for "She Likes Guns", which features Stormy Daniels as the director of the music video.  Fans can find Granny 4 Barrel on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and their of...

EP Review: “Timeless” by OF MICE & MEN

On February 26, metal giants Of Mice and Men released a three-song EP titled “Timeless.”  This work is part of a larger process that will result in the band’s seventh full-length album being released by the end of 2021.  Between now and then, two more EPs will accompany “Timeless.”  This work also marks the band’s first release under SharpTone Records.   Prior to the release of “Timeless” there were several social media teases released by the band and a promise to embark on a new era of OM&M.  However, from the first guitar riffs of the title track, there is no mistaking who the creator of this work is...and that is not a bad thing!  Powered in large part by vocalist Aaron Pauley, Of Mice and Men have continued to refine what is a unique sound in the metal industry and I view this w...

(Mental Health Conversations): ETERNAL FREQUENCY

Editor's Note:  Recently, Harrisburg hard rockers Eternal Frequency released their blistering cover of "The Show Must Go On" by Queen.  It was one of those things where I didn't know what to expect, but if you can cover Queen and do it well, you are amazing.  Frontwoman Emelle just killed it on the vocals and the rest of the band were just on point with the arrangements of this cover. They have also released a music video for "Parasite" which has over 140,000 hits on YouTube.  They are making a name for themselves in the Pennsylvania hard rock scene and they have shared the stage with Of Mice & Men, Smile Empty Soul, Vixen and Sponge.  In this mental health conversation with Madness To Creation, Eternal Frequency discusses "The Show Must Go On", mental health awareness and the Covid-19...

Kyler Millo of BLOODBATHER Converses with Madness To Creation on “Disappear” & Mental Health Awareness

Editor's Note:  Broward County, Florida's own Bloodbather carved out their own niche with their independent release of "Pressure", which amassed over 370,000 streams on Spotify and earned them the opportunity to share the stage with Whitechapel and Of Mice & Men.  Bloodbather is currently composed of Kyler Millo on vocals/bass and Salem Vex on guitars/synths.  They have recently released their new track entitled "Disappear".   In this interview with Madness To Creation, Kyler of Bloodbather discusses coping with the Covid-19 pandemic, the single and controversial music video for "Disappear" and mental health awareness.  Fans can find Bloodbather at the following locations: www.twitter...

I want to share this playlist with you.  Honestly, I thought we hit the pinnacle when we shot Warped Tour.  If you would've told us we would've covered Blink 182, Tool, Godsmack(twice) and New Kids On The Block in the same year, I would've been dreaming.  As the editor of Madness To Creation, I want to personally thank the following photographers/reviewers who made this incredible year possible: Will Wight, Crios Valentino, Kim Casper, Bryan Bardes, Amber Lyons, Kelz Bailey, Michelle Barron, Emily McDermott, Shawn Doyle, Mike Victorick, Ian Storck, Christopher James Ryan, Eva Dang, Holly Royle, Mark Dean, Derrick Climer, Richard Lepre, Evan Zwisler, Glenn Fernetti, Chris McCormick, Megan Jane Earp, Shannon Myers, John Nelson, and William Zimmermann, and Katie Hovland Madness To Creat...

(Concert Review) OF MICE & MEN Live at Warehouse Live in Houston, Texas (10/15/2019)

It was a muggy night in Houston as Of Mice & Men with special guests For The Fallen Dreams, Thousand Below, and Bloodbather took the stage at Warehouse Live in Houston, Texas.     Broward County's own Bloodbather opened up "The Earth Tour".  They are composed of Jeffrey Georges, Matt Stokes, and Kyler Millo.  They brought the intensity and energy to get the crowd ready for Thousand Below.     Thousand Below brought the emotion and atmospheric elements to their 25 minute set.  They recently released their album entitled "Gone In Your Wake" via Rise Records.  I felt that this band was more of an acquired taste, but they held their own during their brief set.     For The Fallen Dreams provided direct support for Of Mice ...

(Album Review) “Earthandsky” by OF MICE & MEN

On Friday, September 27, Of Mice & Men released their sixth studio album Earthandsky via Rise Records.  The band released several singles, including “Mushroom Cloud” and “How to Survive”, without having definite plans for an album announced.  However, fans of the band should be thrilled with this newest release! The band displays all of the elements which has made it a force on the rock scene for nearly a decade now! As it should, the title track “Earth & Sky” promotes the message of the album.  Singer/bassist Aaron Pauley says the title track,” as song about resilience.  It’s about understanding that you can rise above whatever it is that keeps trying to drag you down, no matter what.”  Please check out the official video for “Earth & Sky” below: O...

(Album Review) “Erase The Pain” by PALISADES

On December 28th, Palisades released their fourth studio album titled “Erase the Pain.”  If you were like me, your introduction to Palisades came when “Let Down” gained airplay on rock stations and especially satellite radio a couple years ago.  While the song is good, it didn’t motivate me to explore more Palisades music. That has changed with the release of this album! Palisades is composed of Louis Miceli as lead vocalist, Xavier Adames on lead guitar and backup vocals, Matthew Marshall on rhythm guitar, Brandon Elgar on bass, and Aaron Rosa on drums.  The talents of the band are on full display throughout this album. “Vendetta” is an appropriate opening track with a brief build-up (an intro almost like one would enjoy at a concert as a band takes the stage) and lyrically i...
