(Concert Therapy Reviews) ROYAL BLISS with THE BLACK MOODS Live at Chrome Horse Saloon in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (8/26/2021)

Off in the distance, the thunder rolls and the lightning strikes, but no love was growing cold as hard rockers Royal Bliss with special guests The Black Moods and Zach Thomas rocked the Chrome Horse Saloon outdoor stage in Cedar Rapids, Iowa recently. Concertgoers and the owners of the Chrome Horse Saloon weren't exactly sure if the show was going to happen, however, it did happen in spite of threats of severe weather activity. The cool thing about this venue is every food item on the menu is biker themed and the outdoor stage is definitely accommodating for a concert, and the atmosphere made a person feel like you got invited to this really cool exclusive block party.  Plus, they were doing raffles for a local charity to help a child battling cancer and they were selling raffle tickets...

Jeff Buehner of THE LOYAL ORDER/ROUGH CUTT Discusses “Ready For Dead”, Signing with EMP Label Group & Writing Process with Mark Dean for Madness To Creation

Contributor's Note:  The Loyal Order first hatched as a studio project several years ago in Portland, when Jeff Buehner was approached to write a theme song for a regional outdoor hunting reality show.  He reached out to guitarist Brandon Cook for a heavy riff, and the result was a song called Off the Grid (Superhuman).  It aired regionally in the Pacific NW for two seasons. A bassist by trade, singing is a new beginning for Jeff.  The songs were originally crafted with a different vocalist in mind, but after laying scratch tracks for the first few songs, the producer convinced him to lay the final tracks himself.    From this songwriting partnership between Buehner and Cook, the songs began to flow. They soon approached Producer Rob Daiker at The Commune in Portland, Oregon, who has...

(Concert Review) HINDER Live at Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey (6/11/2019)

Recently, Hinder had a headlining stop at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey with special guests Saving Abel, Ardana, and Sister Salvation.  The band showcased that they were even stronger with vocalist Marshall Dutton in tow instead of Austin Winkler, who left the band to pursue a solo career in 2015. In the 2000's, Hinder was the band to listen to in modern rock.  They had a song called "Lips Of An Angel" which made infidelity sound romantic and the party anthems "Up All Night" and "Get Stoned".  The boys out of Oklahoma are about the rock and making sure that the fans have a good time, and they certainly did that at the Starland Ballroom. Hinder opened up the show with "I Need Another Drink" and "Up All Night", the songs set the tone for the night that you were there to c...

Royal Bliss Discusses Metal, Pop, and Everything In Between In a Lively Discussion of All Things Music!

I recently had a chance to sit down with Neal Middleton, lead vocalist, and Taylor Richards, guitarist and backup vocalist, for the band Royal Bliss as they played the second show of their current tour in Keokuk, Iowa last month.  Here are their thoughts on a wide-range of topics! Fernetti:  First of all, how the heck are you guys feeling?  You were all the way up in North Dakota last night, correct? Middleton:  Phew, yeah man!  Over a 1,000 miles overnight.  Well, we didn’t do it.  Our bus driver did it.  Tough guy!  But we had to make it.   Fernetti:  I actually saw your bus pull in as I was making a snack run and I was like, “Oh, man!  That was a long trip!’ Middleton:  It was actually a very cool set-up last night.  We were in the Badlands,...
