(Concert Therapy Reviews): VIXEN Live at The Landis Theater in Vineland, New Jersey (7/11/2021)

While trying to write this review... all I keep referencing back to in my mind is Lorraine Lewis's use of the term "Hella-cool". If I may be so bold, I'd like to use this word to describe the recent Vixen show I was lucky enough to see. Vixen has been rocking the stages for the past few decades and in their original hey-day I wasn't able to see them. However this time around, that was not the case. Playing recently at the beautiful Landis Theater in Vineland, NJ, I was not going to miss this opportunity. Local NJ Cat Manning opened up the show. I was unfamiliar with her work before hearing her at this show. But I have to say WHAT A TALENT. Cat has a great voice- powerful, expressive and she can really belt out a tune. She has the kind of voice which makes people take notice. A little bit ...

CORRIN CAMPBELL Converses with Madness To Creation on Covid-19, Mental Health Awareness, and “The Girl With Blue Hair”

Editor's Note:  Corrin Campbell is one that we want to personally thank for her service to the United States.  As a combat veteran of the 1st Cavalry Division of the United States Army, Corrin Campbell rose to prominence as part of a unique recruiting initiative that saw her performing alongside the likes of Toby Keith and Ted Nugent, and before you knew it, CNN was featuring her and she also started to share the stage with hard rock bands A Day To Remember and Black Veil Brides.  Corrin Campbell is especially passionate about mental health awareness and she was so open to discuss this topic with Madness To Creation.  She will be releasing two singles every month with the album coming out in 2021 entitled "Greatest Hits Dual Disc".  In this double album, you will hear remix versions of son...

(Concert Review) THE MELVINS & REDD KROSS Live at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota (9/24/2019)

It was a crazy crazy night in music as The Melvins & Redd Kross with special guest Toshi Kasai took the stage at First Avenue in Minneapolis.  Let me tell you it was crazy not just from a performance standpoint but all these random things happened. Toshi Kasai took the stage, and let me tell you, it was essentially himself being a DJ/Producer with some type of trippy laser show that was on a screen.  It felt like a 20 minute awful acid trip, the music was so engulfing that I could legit feel time move slowly and it made me suddenly feel like I was in one of those 1960's psychedelic movies where I started going down this spiral staircase, yet it was intriguing.  I wish there was more progression out of his set.  I couldn't tell you the title of one song, it just felt odd, especially ...
