(Concert Review) “Live at Borgata Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, New Jersey featuring 98 DEGREES” (12/15/2018)

Judging from tonight's show, it certainly seemed like the 1990's boy-band craze was back as 98 Degrees took the stage to get people into the holiday spirit along with people reminiscing about the times when they dominated the airwaves. Composed of Nick Lachey, Jeff Timmons, Drew Lachey, and Justin Jeffre, the boy-band started the holiday evening with a Christmas song entitled "Season of Love".  I could immediately tell that the group got the packed house ready for the most wonderful time of the year. The stage setup immediately felt like Christmas.  There were massive snowflakes hanging from the ceiling, along with large gift boxes and Christmas lights were neatly decorated all over the stage.  98 Degrees certainly wowed the crowd with their harmony and they also treated the crowd to...

(Video Review) “Supreme Truth” by Spirit Award

We were recently reached out to review the video and single for "Supreme Truth" by Seattle's Spirit Award.  Spirit Award, who are an indie-rock band, is slated to released "Muted Crowd" on October 19th.  After viewing this video, it was definitely an interesting video to watch. Spirit Award is formed from the ashes of Pomegranates and consists of a member of Zoolab.  They combine spacey guitar riffs, with elements of psychedelic and a bit of 80's pop ala groups like Modern English and early U2.  Thematically, this song and video takes on a completely different take. With cathartic vocals and psychedelic guitar riffs, Spirit Award takes you through the bizarre story of Shoko Asahara, who led the Japanese death cult "Aum Shinrikyo" to the 1995 sarin attack on the Tokyo subway system.  ...

“Epic Tales of Human Nature” by Jibe, a triumphant return!

In June 2004, it abruptly came crashing down as Jibe called it quits.  They had a Top 30 Active Modern Rock single with "Yesterday's Gone", which became the sports anthem for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League and they were becoming staples on college radio stations in Texas and Louisiana and other states in the South.  Jibe's fans wondered what happend.  Long story short, frontman Joe Grah left for Los Angeles for three days without telling anyone and that he was fighting to get clean from alcohol and drugs.  Now that Joe is clean and sober, Jibe is back and better than ever! Out of Dallas, Texas, Jibe is composed of Joe Grah on vocals, Toby Bittenbender on guitars, Ben Jeffries on drums, and Corey Tatro on bass.  On June 9th, the triumphant return of Jibe officially begi...

Unleash Them: “Kill The Monster” by Pete Lynch, introspection at its finest!

On May 19th, Pete Lynch released "Kill The Monster" independently.  I think we have found a diamond in the rough with this one! Born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland and the Czech Republic, Pete Lynch is a true artist in every sense of the word.  Pete has hired on Tim Palmer, who has mixed for the likes of U2, Blue October, and Pearl Jam to create a total separation from his previous work entitled FACE ME! He took lyrics based upon his vision and views of the world, along with his personal life experiences to create one of the most introspective albums out there at this point. The record sounds painful and full of hurt in one breath, with the track "Where Are You", which seems to take on the issue of feeling despair after being abandoned to glancing at rays and glimmers of hope in t...
