(Album Review) “Extinction(s)” by UNEARTH

Editor's Note:  Recently, legendary metal band Unearth released their mammoth album entitled "Extinction(s)".  After interviewing with them this past summer at the Vans Warped Tour, vocalist Trevor Phipps stated that this album was somewhat of a concept album talking about how humans are destroying this planet.  After the indepth conversation, I begin to develop a deeper understanding on what Trevor was talking about in this album.  Juan Hinojosa(ex-Upon A Burning Body, Darkness Divided, Shaping The Legacy), wrote a review of this album.  Fans can find Unearth at the following locations: www.facebook.com/unearthofficial www.unearth.tv www.twitter.com/unearthofficial www.instagram.com/unearthofficial So I had the absolute pleasure, of reviewing Unearths latest release before ...

Mike Williams of The Agony Scene Converses with Madness To Creation on Religious Fanaticism and Where They Have Been!

Editor's Note:  It was so good to have a serious yet fun-loving conversation with The Agony Scene vocalist Mike Williams on religion, music, the writing process, and so much more!  We were at the Skyway Theater in Minneapolis, Minnesota for Summer Slaughter and The Agony Scene have gained some momentum for their release "Tormentor" and are set to provide support for Unearth and Fit For An Autopsy on a November tour.  Fans can find The Agony Scene at the following locations: www.facebook.com/theagonyscene www.instagram.com/theagonysceneband Madness To Creation:  We were just talking about haunted houses based on how spooky this venue is, do you believe in haunted houses or have you been to one? Mike:  I'm not sure.  We played at a place called Slosh Furnace a million years ago, ...

Trevor Phipps of Unearth Converses with Madness To Creation on Poker Tips, Remembering Vinnie Paul, and America’s Screwed Up Environmental Policies!

Editor's Note:  Let me tell you, this was one of the most chill interviews I have ever done.  Trevor Phipps of Unearth was like a long lost friend that I reconnected with.  Unearth was getting ready to dominate the Vans Warped Tour and we talked about everything from games on smartphones, to Vinnie Paul and Dimebag Darrell, to even Donald Trump's skewed environmental policies.  Unearth's single "Incinerate" recently hit number one on "The Devil's Dozen" via Liquid Metal.  Fans can find Unearth at the following locations: Madness To Creation:  (As Trevor is finishing up with a game on his smartphone), What kind of video games do you like to play? Trevor:  Not much of a gamer, but on the road, I like to play games.  I'll show you, (pulls out his phone), it's Clash Royale, it's like Cla...

(Concert Review) Vans Warped Tour 2018 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota

Going in, Madness To Creation knew that this was going to be something worth remembering for a long time.  However, the music scene seems to be changing rapidly and Kevin Lynam is hoping for the next generation to step it up in the festival circuit.  With a lump in my throat, I realized that this was going to be the final Warped Tour that I could ever be attending.  There are so many takeaways that I have from my memories of the Vans Warped Tour. I've decided instead of the typical review, that I would divulge into what Vans Warped Tour has meant to so many. There is something about a festival that brings people together.  In this particular festival, there is a sense of unity between the audience members.  We saw goths, street punk kids, hippies, LGBTQ+, and people of all races and relig...
