The year was 2001 and Aerosmith released their hot single entitled “Jaded” in anticipation for “Just Push Play”.  “Jaded” was a top 10 single in the Billboard Hot 100 and people were wondering if Aerosmith returned to form.  After a few generally favorable reviews and some negative reviews, the album fell flat was deemed to be forgettable despite selling one million copies in the first month of its release.

The album felt very commercialized and it felt like again, Aerosmith was trying to be everything to everyone.  The album does start off pretty well with the rocking track “Beyond Beautiful”, however, it felt sleepy, even in the music video for “Jaded”, the rest of the band besides Steven Tyler seemed somewhat withdrawn and completely uninspired, that they were just putting out albums just to be putting out albums.  The power ballads, including “Fly Away From Here” seem tired and bored.

I’m not going to write much on this album besides that this was bar none their worst effort to date.  Madness To Creation rates this 2 out of 10 stars.  Here is the track listing.
